1997 Olds Cutlass Supreme 3.1 V6 approx. 90,000 miles In about 6 months three times the car overheated, the radiator overflow tank bubbled out, temp gage went up to red etc......I let it cool, topped off with antifreeze/water and for the most part it went back to normal.

One more bit of diagnostic work to report: At idle, WITHOUT a load, the two warning lights are ON ('rear' and 'charge'). WITH an electrical load (that includes both the headlights and blower), the pair of warning lights go OFF.

Seems that all batteries no matter what brand are made by one of 3 companies, Exide, Douglas, and Johnson Controls. If there's a fourth I'm not aware of it. The last 2 batteries I've had have been Exides from Kmart,
