Hey all, just bought a used 2001 Cavalier Z24 with a 2.4 L Twin Cam
engine and 133, 000km. I have done some research and have found that it
has a timing chain. I don't have the manual for the car unfortunately,
and was wondering if I should replace the timing chain before driving

I want to decide whether to buy a car with tachometer. What is purpose
of tachometer? How will I be able to use it?
I know that tachometer is used to show engine rpm and that one should
not drive in "red rpms". I want to know more than this.

Howdy from Canada,first post,so please bear with me as its a long
one.Our 92 lumina 3.1 motor(excellent GM motor!) runs absolutely
perfect when cold,but once its warmed up,which I think means its up to
operating temperature bucks and jerks on normal acceleration from stop

About how many miles could you expect to get out of a Ford Escort LX
engine before needing an overhaul?  Looking at a 1996 with 191k, asking
price $900.

i'm not sure what happened ... i haven't had any over-heating problems
at all. but after sitting in stop-and-go traffic in the sun on the
freeway, my truck quit running and was spewing steam. when i got off
the freeway and looked under the hood the radiator cap had blown off

I have a 2002 Chevy Prizm with 37,500 miles.
My check engine light was staying on, so I took it in. I'm told my fuel
vapor canister is dead, and it will cost over $400 to replace.
My previous car was a 1992, so I'm not accustomed to these newer cars.

I turn the ignition off and the fuel pump keeps running. I have two
