Hi all, just bought a 1993 VW Passat GLX V6, 170,000 miles. Looked
good, test drive for half hour in various conditions.
Drove for two days before white smoke started coming out from under the

cambelt and tensioner bearings.
Just three weeks laters I had to send it back only to de diagnosed with with

I have a 389 engine & hydramatic 3-speed transmission from my 1960
Pontiac.  I took it out & swapped it for another of the same.  Engine
still runs but would love to be rebuilt.  Trans has probably ground
gear.  Or any ideas of who could take this off my hands??

Okay, I have a 1988 Toyota Corolla FX 1.6 L Carb car. Today while I
was driving on the interstate, it began to rattle. It sounded like it

I have an odd problem with a 1994 Grand Am. The battery will not draw
any current from a battery charger when the positive & negative cables
from the vehicle are connected to the battery. If I disconnect the
leads and connect the charger directly to the posts, then it draws

tappet and shim-type valve adjustment or hydraulic lash adjusters?
The Haynes manual says that 1995 and later 1.5L DOHC engines, 1.6L, and

Plymouth Voyager 3.3L? The trans intermitantly goes into limp-in and I

Hi I have a 1930 Chevy Wentworth. The window regulator has slogged out.
I have fixed the sloppy bit but I have struck a problem with the spring
