Impreza CV axle16 Aug 2006 02:11 GMT2
I have a 5 speed '98 Impreza with the small 4 cyl engine. It has
2 split CV boots. Both inner next to the transaxle. I have the
passenger side out to the point of popping it out of the axle and
there is where I am having problems. It doesn't pop out like a
1993 Mazda Protege' has no spark?15 Aug 2006 18:24 GMT8
Took my 1993 Protege to a muffler shop for repair.  The shop ended up
replacing most of the old exhaust system, including a new cat and
muffler.  When they brought the vehicle off the hoist, it wouldn't
start.  Today I looked at it and it turns over fine, but I couldn't get

I bought this truck for my 13 year old to learn about engines.  When we
got the truck, it would start if you primed the carb, run for awhile
and die.  So far, we have:

Overheating problem15 Aug 2006 11:49 GMT6
Hi, I have a 2000 Daewoo Nubira, and it has an overheating problem. It
overheats on the freeway, after about 10-15 miles of driving at sustained
freeway speed. When exiting the freeway, the gauge creeps up another couple
of notches when I come to a full stop, then cools down to 1/2 ...
Engine seized?15 Aug 2006 11:47 GMT8
I have a 74 Chevy 350, with a TH350.  Everything was working great,
except I noticed a vacuum leak in the carb body.  So I change the carb
first thing the next week.  Start the car real quick for a sanity
check, then turned it right off to go grab my tools to set the idle.
A/c completely dead, need advice15 Aug 2006 07:24 GMT11
Hey all,
Car is a 1986 Honda CRX. Where should I start looking for trouble if
pushing the A/C button does _nothing_? No increased idle, no condenser
fan, and obviously no cooling. the only thing that happens is the little
exhaust system question - 93 Ranger15 Aug 2006 06:11 GMT1
I'm looking to repair an exhaust problem with my Ranger.  I was
wondering if someone can tell me what to ask for.

Volvo 1988 740 GLE Low gas mileage.15 Aug 2006 05:57 GMT5
I have a 1988 Volvo 740 GLE Wagon. It runs very rich. It does something
like 18mpg or so in the city and around 23mpg or so on the highway.
I changed the O2 sensor, the spark plugs are relatively new, the gas
pressure regulator, the fuel filter. I have tried additives to clean
manual transmission - the clutch pedal gets "stuck" while pressed15 Aug 2006 02:55 GMT2
OK, guys, here is a question. Mazda 626 with manual transmission has
the clutch pedal that does not always come back (seems to just stay
stuck).
A bit of background. The winter before the last one the clutch pedal

Intermittent Oil Pressure only After Long Trips?14 Aug 2006 19:20 GMT4
I have a 2002 Ford Ranger that doesn't have a real oil pressure gauge
- it has one of those "fake" gauges that always shows either zero or
half scale.  The oil pressure has always behaved normally (i.e. it's
not zero :-) until a couple weeks ago when we took it for about a two
2002 VW Jetta won't start14 Aug 2006 16:28 GMT1
While pulling into my driveway a couple of days ago, our 2002 VW Jetta
1.8 Turbo--battery light came on, and then the car died.  I initially
thought the battery was dead, but have tried to jump it off to no
avail.  It almost acts as though it is in some type of security mode.
timing14 Aug 2006 15:44 GMT4
Hello, i have a 1968 ford 302 and i'm having a little trouble with the
timing. First of all, the engine was recently rebuilt and i just got it
running. I cant get it to run well unless it is about 30 degrees

Exhaust smoke after 5 minutes?14 Aug 2006 15:28 GMT2
I'm fixing up a '76 Chevy Malibu with a 350.  Until a month ago, it had sat
undriven for about 3 years.  Before that, it would smoke a little at startup
then would be fine.  I figured it was valve seals.
Recently I've unclogged the PCV valve, replaced/reconnected vacuum lines,
