I have 2001 Mazda Protege with 2.0 liter engine. I want to start doing my own oil changes on it, but wondering how difficult and messy it is. What tools do I need - two ramps from Walmart would do I hope? What size and type of a wrench for the drain plug? Will the oil flow nicely

My thermostat went bad and I drove the 2001 Suburban 1500 4WD until it boiled, choked and stopped. It started again, but now the ride is rough. Compression tests done..."in normal range", mechanic's say "nothing wrong". Yes there is, it is like riding on a gravel road.

Hello. I've been swapping out the old 305 carbureted engine in my '86 Trans Am to a 350. I checked the block number on the 350 in a small block Chevrolet engine book I have and found that it is a '76 block that was supposedly used in trucks and high performance applications.

I recently saw a semi (tractor-trailer) with tires like I've never see before. They were similar to what you might see on the front axle of a cement truck. Except these were even wider and they were on the *rear* axles.
