| How to Tow RWD MT Car with Car Dolly ? | 04 Oct 2006 23:27 GMT | 11 |
Assuming a 350 mi 1-way trip... I've always heard that the way to tow a car (with a car dolly) was to disconnect the driveshaft at the rear axle. Given a solid rear axle and a manual transmission (5speed) in a traditional front engine, RWD

| Which oil filters are best? | 04 Oct 2006 06:09 GMT | 56 |
I have not found any independent tests regarding screw on oil filters. Just from word of mouth I have heard that the NAPA gold or silver, and the $5 Purolator are the best. Any thoughts or independent tests on internet you can refer me to?

| DOHC, SOHC, NOHC Performance benefits, or hype? | 04 Oct 2006 03:07 GMT | 22 |
Seems that you hear a lot of buzz in the auto world about how many overhead cams something has. I hear a *LOT* of the buying public, the ones that I would essentially label as 'sheep' (no offense to them, though), talking about overhead camshafts as a 'performance' feature.

| Eibach ProKit vs H&R Sport Springs | 03 Oct 2006 20:19 GMT | 8 |
I've decided to get some lowering springs for my Grand Am, but I was wondering if any of you had any opinions to which one has a better ride? Both seem like a good choice, but I'm not sure as to which one is better quality, ride, etc. Any ideas?

| 2000 Astro van heater problem | 03 Oct 2006 20:03 GMT | 2 |
My heater heats and the ac cools but the dampers don't work. I get air out the floor outlets and the defrost outlets together but never out the dash vents. Switching to different output positions on the heater switch doesn't seem to have any affect.

| 1988 Chevy Sprint | 03 Oct 2006 16:01 GMT | 3 |
I Have this Sprint and I can't get it to lean out the mixer control selenoid unless I ground the blue wire with red stripe which the computer is supposed to ground. At first the selenoid wasn't working so I installed another one that does work. I watch a volt meter connected

| 86 Corolla used engine??? | 03 Oct 2006 15:19 GMT | 1 |
I am the type that likes to fix rather than ditch broken stuff. I have an '86 Corolla 5sp, with a bad 1st Cylinder. I'd like to maybe get a used engine for it but I've found them hard to come by, or very expensive. I'm wondering what luck I should expect for finding a used

| oval track spring question | 03 Oct 2006 04:36 GMT | 4 |
I know there's a couple of racers on here, maybe you can help me understand why all the books and all the experts recommend a stiffer LR spring over the RR? They say do it, but never say why. I always see stuff like:

| Where did fiendish engine knock go? | 03 Oct 2006 01:39 GMT | 3 |
I have a four-cylinder chevy that I let sit for a year. When I fired up the engine, there was this tremedous engine knock that sounded as if engine failure was happening. So I turned it off and cursed my bad luck

| 1993 GMC K3500 6.5L Turbo Diesel Starting problem | 02 Oct 2006 21:06 GMT | 4 |
I'm usually pretty good with this, but this problem has me stumped. My K3500 is exhibiting symptoms that I would normally attribute to a flat spot. The problem is - I've replaced the starter within the past 3 weeks (AutoZone w/ LLT Warranty), and it is exhibiting the same type of
