'04 Sable LS CD Player27 Oct 2006 01:33 GMT2
One of the options listed for the '04 Mercury Sable LS (and its Ford
Taurus sibling) is a six disc trunk mounted CD player.
Question:  Was the wiring harness for this option installed in all LS
trim level Sables, and if so, where are they hiding the damn thing.
Are Dexron and Mercon the same thing?26 Oct 2006 21:58 GMT16
My vehicle calls for Mercon ATF for the power steering as well as the
manual transmission fluid. Can I use Synthetic Dexron in these
applications, or Mercon V?

89 Dodge d100, new clutch and valve cover gaskets.....now truck runs like crap.26 Oct 2006 17:30 GMT3
Just had a shop install a new clutch in my 1/2 ton '89 Dodge D100,
truck style 4 speed manual. I put new valve cover gaskets on it.  Now
engine surges, misses, loads up, and it used to run 'perfectly'.  I
have retraced 6 times every connect I unhooked during the valve cover

Hey all -
I have a 1985 Corolla SR5, rear-wheel drive, 226,000 miles. I was
wondering what the towing capacity is on it...I can't find the spec
anywhere. Would it be safe towing a small (4x8) open trailer with a
New tires in trash?26 Oct 2006 12:11 GMT15
I recently found quite a lot of brand new tires (still have stickers)
in the tire recycling bin. There are several manufacturers and types,
so I do not think it is due to a recall. They are in sets of 2 or 4, so
not oddballs. The only guess I have is their manufacture date. ...
Airbag light on 2000 Pont Montana26 Oct 2006 12:03 GMT2
In the 6 years I've owned this van, the airbag light has come on a few
times, stayed on for several days, and then stayed out for
months/years.  Now that I want to sell it, the pesky light is back, and
is on more than it is off (bumps in the road set it on/off
Exhaust leak?26 Oct 2006 10:30 GMT3
Quick question. I have a Daewoo Leganza, 2001. The weekend, I was in the
country driving and the car lost a lot of acceleration. When I jammed the
gas pedal down, the car's engine raced up but there was hardly any
acceleration. I felt the transmission shift at the appropriate ...
Idling Car25 Oct 2006 18:24 GMT9
I started my 86 Toyota Corolla SR5 up to charge up the battery.  I forgot
about it, and left it idling in the driveway for a couple of hours.
Did I do any damage to it?  I have plenty of oil in it.  I am concerned
about oil pressure.

Dropped plastic piece into trans... how can it be removed?25 Oct 2006 03:35 GMT5
A friend of mine has the rare find of a daughter who goes to college
and works on her own car!  She is quite handy; I once helped her R&R a
water pump on her car on the side of a road.
Her mother mentioned to me today that she made a pretty big mistake
98 Mazda B4000 5spd stumble / engine balance25 Oct 2006 03:17 GMT1
129K miles check engine diagnosed by local Mazda as miss fire on
cylinder #1. I replaced fuel filter, MAF (junk yard), 4 plugs out of 6
replaced (other two this week due to angle), replace all spark plug
wires and an oil and filter change. On idle it feels like the engine is
99 Outback misfire P0303,  P030425 Oct 2006 02:50 GMT1
Hi-I've been working on a 99 Subaru Outback.  It shows P0303 and P0304
on the code reader.  I changed the plugs and wires.  The changed the
ignition coil, which I thought would be a fix, but the light came back
on after a couple weeks and it is the same codes.  Any ideas?  Thanks.

Hi, I just recently bought a 1999 Sunfire with 116,000 clicks on it, I
got an oil change with Mobil 1 pure synthetic and for whatever reason
the temperature of the engine has died down quite a bit and is running
much more smoothly; so I was just wondering, is there a real difference
