Clearcoat aluminum wheels?24 Oct 2006 07:15 GMT2
I've got some new wheels for my car. They're polished aluminum. Before I
mount them on my car I'd like to put a clearcoat on them.
What kind of coating will stick well to polished aluminum? Would I be better
off taking it to a shop and having it done professionally?
(old) ignition question24 Oct 2006 04:23 GMT27
I have a small (7 hp, 1 cylinder) 4-cycle engine (Kohler) that won't
start.  It has a magneto ignition.  A plug resting on the head sparks;
but, for a number of reasons, I still suspect the ignition is 'weak',
and doesn't fire strongly enough under compression to produce

I have a problem I hope you can guide me the right direction.
My mother has an 89 Dodge Spirit she just loves. It started going though

Anti-freeze, glycol vs. DexCool23 Oct 2006 14:43 GMT6
I never really noticed a consensus here, so figured it would be worth
asking.
Our '94 Acclaim 3.0L came to us last year with DexCool in it (pink). The
factory shop manual says to use glycol, then adds all sorts of stipulations

1996 Monte Carlo Cooling Fans Question22 Oct 2006 20:19 GMT2
My daughter drives a 1996 Monte Carlo with the 3.1 engine. My question is
about the cooling fans, this car has two of them. When facing the car, the
fan on the right side kicks on when the engine gets hot. Is the fan on the
left supposed to kick on too or only when the A/C is on? ...
