The noise comes and goes, but now often I can hear it.
Where does it come from?  Here are some info that could help:
1) It usually hum when it's cold

We have an Honda Odyssey minivan with an Aluminum engine. My spouse had
an animal hit that caused some front end damage (bumper etc). It also

I purchased a used 1987 car.   Is it better to replace items like
starter, alternator, etc before they fail?
Part of the problem is that you don't know if the previous owner has
already replaced the parts.
