I've got a 95 F-150 with ac, standard 5 sp. trans, 6 cylinder. It's starting to run in the upper end of the temperature range and sometimes goes up to the red line. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Having a little trouble understanding manifold vacuum and what affects it. When I start my car the vacuum as measured from a port directly into the intake manifold is low, around 14 in Hg. As the car warms up and the choke opens the vacuum reading gradually improves to around 17

I have been reading the customer surveys on tires at tirerack.com. I wonder how seriously to take these ratings. On the one hand, these customers care enough about tires to register an opinion. On the other hand, their opinions aren't expert, or even necessarily well-informed.

What is a better buy? Domestic or Foreign cars? My car buying experience is fairly limited, but my thinking is this: I would always like to buy second hand cars, maybe 2 years old, and keep it until it gets too costly to maintain rather than swap it out every 2 or 3 years.
