I have had a number of used cars over 10 years old.  Most things I
repair take longer than i anticipated.
Replacing the fuel injectors on a Datsun 280 Z was a nightmare.  Dealer
wanted 850 to do it.  I could buy the injectors for $29 each.   It took

shown at the auto show.  (I wont buy a China car regardless of quality)
If China is considered to be an enemy why are we importing their cars?

I got a used car with its headlights partially painted over, as if for
decoration.  I'd like to remove the paint, but using a solvent like
acetone or nail polish remover scuffs up the headlight plastic

Can someone please explain to me how an engine computer can possibly
know which of the N number of cylinders is misfiring? I cannot see
there being any sensors right at the cylinders themselves.

I ordered a key from my dealership, it would open the door but won't
start the ignition also won't let me change the gear. I'm thinking of
dissabling the security device  that they say has a magnet that would
identify only my original key. I parked in a alternate parking and I

I have a short in the switches somewhere in the power windows.
If I disconnect the switches on the drivers side to the power windows
on the passenger side, (front and rear), all works fine, except the
windows on the passenger side will not work.

Back in 2003 the original Delco alternator failed on my 93 Geo Prizm.  I
replaced it with a remanufactured Delco from Advance that came with a
lifetime warranty.  The part failed about a year later, I got a

I have 9.5 year old Yokohama 195 HR60/15 Avid H4's with approx 40% front 60%
rear tread left. There is a significant shimmy at approx 30-50 mph which is
not noticable until the tires have been driven for 2-3 miles. Dealer refuses

I am working on my truck and can't remove the front drive shaft from
