I'm trying to bleed the brakes on my 1984 Ranger, each time my 'helper' pumps the breaks I get additional air through the line on the right rear break, does this mean that the master cylinder is in need of replacement?

After recently replacing a rear wheel caliper and attempting to flushing the brake fluid using the vacuum method, which did not work worth a dam producing nothing but constant bubbles in the fluid, I hit upon the use of clear tubing which fits tightly around the bleeding nipple ...
