R12 to R134a conversion tips?10 Jul 2007 17:47 GMT18
I've got a 1993 Mazda 626 with a ruptured discharge (high pressure) line.
I'll be doing the repair myself.
I've got a new line, dryer and O-rings. I also have an 8 ounce can of ester
oil and several cans of R134a refrigerant.
A/C clutch frozen..what causes this? how much to repair?10 Jul 2007 15:14 GMT11
I have a 2000 Mazda Protege and apparently the A/C clutch is frozen.
This happened less than a week after a radiator flush at Jiffy Lube
and I'm wondering if they did anything that could have caused this.
>From what I've been reading this is going to cost at least $1000. Does
Fix-a-Flat Makes a Tire Un-patchable?10 Jul 2007 14:39 GMT56
A day after I used the Fix-a-flat to drive home, I took the tire to
Costco (where I bought) to have it patched. After the clerk prepared
paper work to patch the tire, I thought I should let them know that I
used fix-a-flat as the label suggests. As soon as she heard fix-a-
Why no fire?10 Jul 2007 12:55 GMT28
My 1968 Lotus (Ford 'Kent' engine)has a new coil, new condenser, 12vdc
into the breaker 'points' and WILL NOT spark either at the points or
through the wire - suggesting no High Voltage.
At the suggestion of a mechanic neighbour I scraped the coil to ground
'99 Tercel air conditioning costs10 Jul 2007 12:44 GMT19
The A/C in the above mentioned car is not working as well as it once did.
We've noticed a bit of a decline in cooling ability over the last year or
so.
Took the car to the dealership to see what they could do. Bad news: There
Problems with Chevy Blazer10 Jul 2007 06:15 GMT18
Ok - long story short - my truck hasn't been right since I moved from
Colorado to Florida four years ago. (1999 Chevy Blazer LS, 4 door,
4WD, 4.3L V-6 Vortec, fully loaded)
Problem 1: The check engine light will not go off. When we hook it up
A/C Help - Chevy Venture - Where is Low pressure switch?10 Jul 2007 04:45 GMT2
Our A/C on our 2003 Chevrolet Venture van started blowing only warm
air.  I checked the pressure and there is coolant in the system (I
checked pressure with a guage on one of those hoses you get with the
can of R134, didn't put any R134 in and it reads about 100 psi on a
95 subaru awd system problem10 Jul 2007 01:37 GMT7
My 95 subaru legacy's awd system is not working, it only has front
wheel drive. On a hoist with the engine on and the trans in drive only
the drivers side front wheel spins, if I slow it down with my hand
then the passenger side starts to spin, should they not be turning
hi test gas makes AC work better09 Jul 2007 23:14 GMT1
Was making idle chit chat with a guy and he was complaining his AC
wasn't working.  It would blow cold for a while and then blow warm. He
said he put "hi test" gas in the car and the ac worked better but
still would start to blow warm intermittently.  After he said that I
1977 Jeep CJ Carb float bowl draining.09 Jul 2007 18:34 GMT8
Hey Group,
Just a nagging little problem with an old Jeep CJ that I've got laying
around. This Jeep has the original 258 straight 6 with a Carter YF (I
think, but won't swear that's correct) carb.
Ping Comboverfish--A/C on Corolla Wagon, and horn...09 Jul 2007 17:26 GMT4
Apropos of  Toyota MDT in MO's previous help in my A/C-electric Qs, here's
an update (and how I spent July 4th)  <g>:
The car is in fact a 91 toyota corolla DX wagon, altho the windshield
sticker says "SUBN".
Status of polarizing headlamp filters09 Jul 2007 15:14 GMT7
I was reading about this idea today. If all headlamps
are fitted with a polarizing filter, then other drivers can
almost completely eliminate glare by wearing glasses
(or coating their windscreen) with another polarizing
99 Camry-steering wheel shudder?09 Jul 2007 04:15 GMT2

Vehicle Speed Sensor Broken, then fixed, and now very sporadic...please help!09 Jul 2007 03:44 GMT4
Recently while driving on the interstate my speedometer in my 99
Mercury Cougar dropped to zero and my transmission immediately down-
shifted. At first I had no idea what happened, but after hooking-up a
generic code reader to my car I received the P0500 error code telling
low speed collision09 Jul 2007 01:30 GMT2
I would like to know what is the threshold of GM cars (Pontial Sunfire
in particular) regarding deployment of the Air bags?  i.e. at whats
the minimum speed of the impact that the air bags should pop open?
I had a fender bender in a rush hour traffic (may be at 5km/h) and the
