Automotice air conditioning control08 Aug 2007 07:40 GMT2
I understand the basics, but I don't understand what the temperature
control does in the car's passenger compartment.  It seems to regulate
the cold air output, so I doubt that it is a thermostat.  Can anyone
explain and does it control the output of the compressor?

Told to change 'arms' otherwise wasting my money...08 Aug 2007 00:44 GMT13
on an alignment. I went to an NTB store to get an aligment done. The

going bad and the left driver's side is already bad causing my wheel
Question on monocoque chassis...07 Aug 2007 23:44 GMT20
Can anyone tell me the reason monocoque chassis have a lot of
irregular "planes" such as the floor?  I mean they're not usually flat
even though they can be flat.  Most parts have curves.... seems to be
stamped.

Sluggish acceleration from stop - Acura 1.6 EL07 Aug 2007 17:40 GMT9
I've got a 98 Acura 1.6 EL and have suddenly noticed that the car is
sluggish accelerating from a stop. I actually don't drive *that* much
and after 9 years, the car only has 60,000km on it (I drive it to the
subway station and finish my commute that way - I hate downtown
Radiator Water??07 Aug 2007 00:53 GMT12
I have several older vehicles in which I change radiator anti-freeze
solution and water every 2 years -- just like you're supposed to.  Question:
is using rain water OK for this?  I've heard that some vehicles can't handle
"distilled" water (for some strange reason?!) and rain ...

Do Fresh Air Recirculating Motors Fails Gradually? (1993 Accord)06 Aug 2007 21:16 GMT9
I recently needed to convert to R-134a from R-12. However, I live in
Phoenix & you cannot effectively cool your car without recirculating
cooled cabin air. My recirculate button ceased functioning in the open
position. I took it to the Honda dealer. I was told there would be a
TireRack.com & my new Yokes'06 Aug 2007 17:17 GMT1
Last week I had Yokohama AVID-H4S fitted to my '05 "new" Malibu LS.
This after 3 sources, a garage, the Chevy dealer, and the Town Fair
where I bought the Yokes all said I should not ride my FS Affinity

My dad has a 1991 dodge dakota with a 5.2L that will not charge the
battery. we have replaced the alternator and battery but while the
truck is running the voltage will stay constant until you give it gas
and then the battery totally drains. I've checked the cable from the
Tires/wheels making strange sound06 Aug 2007 15:33 GMT10
This question is in regards to my 2002 Chrysler Sebring sedan.  About
2 months ago I noticed a strange sound (like humming) that immediately
starts when the car is moving and seems louder as the car goes
faster.  It sounded to me like the tires were making the noise.  I did
