I've got a 1987 Nissan Stanza, (I know it should be in the boneyard
but it's the only thing I can afford right now).  It's been running
fine until today.  When I come to a stop the rpm not only stay high
but actually accelerate.  As soon as I put the car in gear the rpm's
air tool couplers23 Sep 2007 01:50 GMT3
What coupler type do you recommend for air tools used for automotive work -
eg impact wrench?
There are many choices, but two popular ones are industrial interchange and
"automotive".  The industrial interchange one seems more common, but the

Mazda B2200: Convert from R12 to R134?22 Sep 2007 19:24 GMT7
The factory R12 A/C system on my 1988 Mazda B2200 has had a slow leak
for the last 10 years.  Normally adding one small can of R12 in the
Spring would get me through until the next year.  Last year the small
leak apparently became a major one: the sight glass looks like all the

If a BMW says "Oil Service" and shows a red and yellow set of lights
when you turn it on, does this mean the oil needs to be changed?
driving technique22 Sep 2007 16:48 GMT9
My sister has a very interesting driving technique-- she steps on the
gas for a few seconds (3-5s) and then completely lets off the gas for
a few seconds (3-5s). She never uses steady pressure... ever. So
basically, the car is ALWAYS either accelerating or decelerating. It
How do I know if I need a new head gasket?22 Sep 2007 14:28 GMT12
1998 Mercury Sable, 103,000 miles- engine was overheating, losing

Play in front tire22 Sep 2007 01:25 GMT3
96 Cavalier.  90,000.
When I grab the front tire at the three and nine o'clock position and
force back and forth there is a little play. Hard to tell but maybe
half an inch at the very most.  Not a sloppy slap back and forth but

the timing belt and 3 accessory belts to be on the safe side. It's
been almost 2 months now and I just started hearing a noise under the
dash up by the firewall when the A/C is turned on, It sounds like a
oil pressure sensor light blinks21 Sep 2007 21:30 GMT5
I have a 1997 Chrysler Concorde 3.5 dual cam V6.  Once in a while when
idling the oil light blinks, just started doing it.  My thoughts are
to remove the oil pressure sensor and if possible screw in an oil
pressure tester.  I cannot locate the sensor and the Chilton manual
