| 93 Camry has "pulsing" idle...why? | 08 Nov 2007 01:16 GMT | 2 |
I have a 93 Toyota Camry with 6 cylinders. I have recently been getting poor gas mileage and have been trying to figure out why. I have checked out the plug wires, plugs, and compression. My compression is great; all cylinders read between 170 and 175 pounds.

| Determining Rim Size Without Measuring | 08 Nov 2007 00:00 GMT | 16 |
I have a 99 Ranger 4x2 with the stock steel 15" wheels. All four of them became *mysteriously bent* one day when I purchased new tires >: ( Bent in the sense that they are all now somewhat 'oval' in shape instead of a perfect circle.

I've got a 1986 Chevy half ton van, overdrive auto transmission. Only 50,000km on it (35,000 miles). I've had this van for 10+ years. The carb has always been an issue. Fuel leaks around the throttle body, questionable choke operation, random flooding, etc. There was also a ...

| crankpin can send transverse forces to the connecting rod? | 06 Nov 2007 14:36 GMT | 36 |
they say that the crosshead type of engine was invented to overcome the problem of, crankpin originating transverse forces up the connecting rod to the piston, causing ovalization of the bore. I can't visualize how a properly toleranced & fitted crankshaft/

| how much can you torque a bolt | 06 Nov 2007 09:47 GMT | 22 |
I am just doing some quick back of the envelope calculations on how much you can torque a bolt. Let's use 60kpsi as the tensile strength, this is just approximate. if I have a 1/4" x 20tpi bolt how much can I torque it? I've tried calculating and I think I'm making an error
