Methanol windshield fluid11 Dec 2007 23:01 GMT15
I always preferred isopropyl windshield anti-freeze fluid over the
methanol stuff, but now cannot find it.  Why has everyone gone to
methanol?
I know from my youth with methanol fueled model airplanes, and now
No more comfortable cars?11 Dec 2007 19:53 GMT18
While my 87 Town Car was being repaired at a Lincoln dealer, they let me
use a 2007 Town Car for the 2 days.
I was surprised and disappointed in the 2007 model.
The new Town Car had a very stiff uncomfortable (lumber wagon) ride.

Warm up car?11 Dec 2007 16:25 GMT15
In the old days people warmed up their cars.  But I have heard that
newer cars need no warm up, just start and drive off.
What if you live next to an interstate and you drive one block then at
freeway speeds?
86 Caprice Rear Brakes Vibrating/Pulsing11 Dec 2007 04:31 GMT8
The rear Brakes of my car were pulsing (I have already done a complete front
brake job). I changed the drums, but not the shoes as they  still look good.
I sanded them a bit. With the new drums the brakes went from pulsing to
vibrating. Today I jacked the car up and made the hubs ...

Hi, I've got a 1993 Dodge Grand Caravan, 170k miles, still in great shape
bodywise and mechanically, still some life left in the old girl.
Couple of months ago, I noticed the gas mileage going south, then the "Check
Engine" light came on. Had it checked out, the EGR valve and ...

damage your car windows?
How likely is that?
snowy hill09 Dec 2007 16:14 GMT2
I was trying to drive up a snowy hill, but my car stalled.  I pressed
hard on the gas, and my car filled with fumes for some reason.  Were
the fumes probably just from being in the same position, or could
something else have been going wrong?
