hand brakes27 Jan 2008 16:21 GMT8
I have a 2004 Hyundai Accent which has a hand-brake which you pull up
with your right hand. My regular floor brake has some problems which
the dealer's mechanic hasn't been able to fix yet. My question is
this: If my floor brake fails for any reason do I pull up my hand-
Possible cause of miss as '89 Supra warms up?27 Jan 2008 05:41 GMT8
'89 Toyota Supra with a 7MGE with less than 5K since a rebuild.
Recently it's developed an odd problem. Starts fine and runs smooth at
first, but after it's been running approximately 20 minutes or so it
develops a miss as if on one cylinder. Turn it off for a few minutes
Slightly OT:  Option packages27 Jan 2008 03:40 GMT6
I am in the market for a new car.  There are several that interest me.  I'm
finding the option packages to be bizarre and annoying.  For example:  To
get an upgraded radio, I have to buy a sunroof.  To get fog lights, I have
to get an automatic transmission.  On one, for fog ...

To remove the bolt that holds the crankshaft pulley off Japanese cars

direction the engine turns, right?

Loosening crank bolt - poor mans option26 Jan 2008 02:01 GMT11
I have two good impact guns, but in the past I have used a breaker bar
and the correct socket. Put it on the bolt set the breaker bar against
the frame. Then turn the key for a second or two. Loosens the bolt a
little then you can back it off by hand. Works in a pinch. Probably
2006 Chevy Impala Rough Idle26 Jan 2008 00:43 GMT2
Recently I had a scare with my 2006 Chevy Impala. I was in a parking
space, still in drive, when the idle dipped low and the lights went
very dim and I thought it was going to die. I didn't have any problems
while in motion. I had the battery checked, and indeed, it was

lf: replacement key for Lexus25 Jan 2008 17:45 GMT3
The gf needs a new replacement key for her 2006 ES-330 Lexus. The
dealer wants over $300 for a key. To me this seems rather excessive
even if it does have a microchip in it (at least I am assuming it must
for that price) and it does have remote door/trunk/alarm buttons on
99 Nissan Maxima SES light23 Jan 2008 22:41 GMT2
How do I reset the yellow Service Engine Soon light on a 1999 Maxima?
Please note that this is not the Check Engine light which is the
result of a real fault detected by the OBDII circuit. This appears to
be just a reminder for service not a fault code.
