I am building an injector test rig for a friend and I wonder what you can use instead of gasoline for testing. Ideally something with similar viscosity etc, but not as flammable and irritating?

I have a 6 cylinder 2000 olds Alero. When I start it from a cold start it idles rough for about 60 seconds and then runs fine. As long as the engine is warm I have no problems. If I try to drive off while it is idleing rough the check engine light will come on and and go off

I have a funny feeling that my thermostat is stuck open and was wondering if there is any simple test to determine if it is open? I just drove home about 35 miles doing 70 mph on the freeway. The gauge never got above 60C, the weather here is 52F = 11C

I have an Orbit remote car started, installed at Lebeau Vitres Auto in Quebec. There is a flashing blue light near the top of the windshield. That is where the antenna is located that receives the signal from my remote.

What is the efficiency of regenerative brakes? Let's say we have a 3000 lb. vehicle, traveling 30 mph. It hits a red lght. That's 1350000 lb-(mi/hr)^2 kinetic energy, dissipated through the disc brakes.

When charging a dead battery in a car -- do I need to disconnect the positive and negative terminals and then connect the charging clamps to the battery? I have been doing that so there would be no chance of harming the cars computer -- but maybe that's not necessary? Also, on ...

I've got a battery charger that can charge a battery between 2 and 15 amps. One of the features of this charger is a "maintenance" mode. When this does is sent short charging bursts to the battery. It's supposed to remove "sulfation".
