Car repair advice needed13 Mar 2008 23:17 GMT24
Hello, I do not know much about cars and need advice.
I purchased a 1995 Chevy Lumina 3 years ago.  I paid
$2500 for it.  Since then, I have put about $3000 into
it for various repairs.  In January, it would not start.  I had

temp gauge13 Mar 2008 00:34 GMT5
I have a question about a temperature gauge. The car that I am driving
is a 1993 mercury topaz. I have noticed that my temp gauge stays in
the normal area, but in the higher portion of it. The car has anti-
freeze, no leaks as far as I could tell, but occasionally I get a

The Best Car in World Today
Trully the best and fastest sedan I have ever owned. Any sedan in the
mid 50s that can get from 0-60 in 5.5 seconds in my book is far above
average. My 535 handles extremely well and performs every bit as well

Ceased wheel bearing12 Mar 2008 02:06 GMT4
I am in the middle of trying to replace the front brakes on my '97 GMC
Safari.  I got the passenger side apart very easily and replaced all
the parts.  As for the driver's side I've taken everything apart up to
the outside wheel bearing which is stuck to the spindle.  I have tried
Ford Focus Airbag Code 1311 Mar 2008 03:59 GMT2
I purchased an SVT Focus that was in a very mild accident (seems as if
it struck a pothole) in where it caused the passenger seat airbag to
deploy.  I purchased a new airbag, replaced it and unplugged the
battery for an hour.  The airbag light shows a code 13 and wondering
Spare tire removal11 Mar 2008 03:31 GMT6
2000 Chevy Silverado.  Bought used in 2003.
Need to remove spare (looks brand new) for the first time in order to drill
a hole (5th wheel mount) in the bed.  The removal tool, inserted into a hole
in the rear bumper, is guided by a tube to its destination.  However it
is there a "standard" trailer connector?11 Mar 2008 03:29 GMT17
I have bought a camper shell for my old F-150 (gotta love Craigslist)
and am going to have to run some wires to hook up the third brake light
and dome light.  At the same time, I'm thinking towards adding a trailer
hitch, so I might as well do the wiring for the trailer plug at ...
NOW what did I do?!10 Mar 2008 20:52 GMT7
So, the Suby was jumping from first to second gear with a lurch, and I saw
in a factory manual where the brake band could be adjusted. Loosen the
lock nut, turn the bolt to 18 FT LBS, back off 3/4 turn and tighten.
Unless the car is jumping from 1st to 2nd and doesn't kickdown ...

Ignition timing for best gas mileage10 Mar 2008 01:00 GMT1
I have an 87 Dodge Dakota V6, originally equipped with a Holley 6280
electronic feedback carburetor. The mixture control solenoid in the carb
went south a while back and is no longer available so I replaced the
6280 with a 2280, which is the non-feedback version without the ...
