AC Condenser leaks - how to repair?10 May 2008 01:56 GMT3
I'm a knucklehead DIYer.  Last fall I successfully replaced the
radiator on my Toyota T100 pickup.
Now I'm trying to replace the AC condenser.  After several years of
slow leaks & seaonal R134a refills, I began to notice shiny, neon
1992 Lincoln09 May 2008 23:48 GMT2
I have 1992 Lincoln Continental.  I have noticed in the past couple of weeks
a strong gas smell expecially when idleing.  Smells like it is coming in the
air conditioner vents.  Any idea what might be going on?
Reasonable ratings for a 1/2" impact wrench?09 May 2008 23:42 GMT9
I have an eight gallon air compressor... 4.3cfm @ 40psi and 3.5cfm @
90psi.
I've been looking at buying an inexpensive impact wrenche and notice
the different ratings on them, but many times they aren't rated the
Hard to get off Spark Plug Boots09 May 2008 21:10 GMT8
Hard to get off Spark Plug Boots
If you ever have a spark plug boot that is hard to get off one way
that has worked good for me is to take a 2-3 foot 3/16 brake line and
screw it into a air nozzle and then file the end of the line to look
air - fuel ratio09 May 2008 16:05 GMT43
What are the thoughts on the air-fuel ratio values using
todays fuels.  How much does the (varied) alcohol content of
todays fuels modify the 'de facto' standard of 14:1 as the
target mixture?
Does this sound like an ALTERNATOR...?09 May 2008 06:32 GMT6
OK... My cousin has an older Ice Cream Truck that has had all kinds of
problems lately.  He just had the engined serviced.  Last week his fan
belt broke.
Now...  here is what is happening.  He will be driving slowly through
Bumper Paint Restoration08 May 2008 19:10 GMT2
I have a 2006 Ford Taurus white in color;  I am not exactly certain what
the real name of the white color is, but it is probably a standard white.
The rear bumper had been "flexed" and paint came off the crease (I think
that's the name for the "bend" or "fold" in the bumper).

Tire Question Re Storing Of ?08 May 2008 01:33 GMT5
Was wondering about this.
Live in New England.
Obviously, get lots of snow and freezing rain in the winter.
Is it reasonable to store summer tires outdoors in the winter, when one puts
Damaged Bolt Extraction07 May 2008 18:18 GMT14
I'm in the process of pulling the drive plate off a vehicle to replace
the rear main seal. In the process of loosening the 10 bolts, I managed
to bugger up the heads on two of them. The socket I was using slipped
off and rounded off a couple of shoulders on the bold head.
Caravan starting problems07 May 2008 03:15 GMT2
Several months ago my wife drove our '96 Dodge Caravan to a friends
house. The van would not start when she attempted to leave. It turned
over, and all the lights worked but it just wouldn't start. The engine
would just turn over, it wasn't catching at all. It seemed like there
Mada Protege & warped front brake rotor....07 May 2008 02:53 GMT1
Hey everyone - long time lurker, first time poster.
I have a 1999 Mazda Protege, 1.6L engine, at about 110,000 miles.  For
the life of me I can't get this problem figured out: The front
driver's side front brake rotor keeps warping.  The warpage is so bad
Where to find a new spare tire?07 May 2008 01:07 GMT3
Few things are worse than getting a flat tire, putting on that anemic little
spare tire, and then having the spare tire last for just a few miles before
shredding and becoming a motorized pizza cutter.  Unfortunately for me, that
just happened.
Henry Ford and Henry Leland and ''Cadillac''06 May 2008 09:12 GMT6
It is many years old, years old news to me.If it haden't been for (this
is only conjecture, of course) Henry Ford, there might not have been
Cadillac.
