State Park costs around the country28 Apr 2004 20:42 GMT16
The local SP raised their rates this season, $20 for an elec. site. Used to be
real cheap. I wondered what other areas charge for one night for an elec. site.
Camping used to be real cheap. I don't mind the non elec sites which are a bit
cheaper but those are in the tented area in ...
Load Distributing Hitch Question28 Apr 2004 11:02 GMT4
OK.  I'm using simple numbers to illustrate a question.  Suppose the maximum
tongue weight for your tow vehicle was 500 pounds.  Suppose you had your
choice of buying load distributing (equalizing?) hitches in the following
weight ranges, 600 pounds, 750 pound, and 1000 pounds.

What to do about storms. We were in a storm last spring that scared the
%&#@ out of me. Along with rain and lighting and strong winds, a tornado

Frig question and power28 Apr 2004 00:28 GMT5
I read a letter to the editor in one of the MH mags the other day and
apparently the technical guy in  the mag suggested (in a prior issue) that
you would be better off plugging your refrigerator into a converted outlet
and always running off of 110.  The letter seemed to indicate ...

We have a 1994 Rockwood popup, with most standard equipment. We are
considering a 5 to 6 week trip to the great northwest, leaving from
north Georgia. Our ultimate goal is to visit the only states we have
not already been to. From North and South Dakota to Washington and

TT or 5th Wheeler?26 Apr 2004 20:53 GMT10
I have been looking at TT's--23-25 feet to pull with husband's 1/2Ton
truck...someone said it would be easier to pull a 5th wheel (you wouldn't
have to necessarily have a "lite" TT)  I think his pulling capacity is 8500
lbs.
Never mind the last post...Want cheap easy storage in your TT?...try this26 Apr 2004 16:57 GMT2
Cut thin plywood or similar and wrap the edges with duck tape the keep from

attached to the trailer.  It has single telescopic leg to adjust for uneven
terrain outside.  It's darn handy and we'd like to buy ...
