Pop up almost completed27 Aug 2004 12:26 GMT13
Well all, my restoration of our 82 Coleman Colonial is almost complete.
Everything has been restored back to new condition with the exception of the
canvas which is not that bad considering it's age. The thing has NO leaks
and a few holes have been patched. Today, I finished ...
Dutch Star Steering27 Aug 2004 00:21 GMT2
We are considering buying a 1999 34' Dutch Star gas RV and we are very
concerned about how well the coach handles on the road at highway
speeds.   Because of its short wheel base, the RV Consumers Group
gives the unit a low grade.  But, we see an awful lot of Dutch Stars
Newbie Propane Question26 Aug 2004 17:57 GMT10
I know that there are several variables to factor in but.....I am wondering how
long we can expect our propane to last.
The variables that I know of are:
Two 20 pound tanks
Shower drain on a 02 popup.26 Aug 2004 15:29 GMT2
I have an 02 Viking legend that had the "u" shaped shower trap made of pcv
pipe that was damaged due to a freeze up of the water inside trap.
Apparently the people that owned the popup before me didn't put enough
antifreeze into the trap.
Newbie question-Small Odyssey RV/Toyota26 Aug 2004 14:42 GMT1
I am new to RVing and am looking into purchasing a smaller <20' RV for
fishing/hunting that will fit in a standard garage.  A local seller has an
Odyssey/Toyota for sale at a reasonable price (I think).  I am concerned
about the smaller engine in this unit.  I beleive the chassis is ...
propane tanks and tunnels26 Aug 2004 02:35 GMT9
Does anyone have any first hand info concerning towing a trailer with
dual propane tanks through a tunnel ?
TIA
92 Palomino pop-up questions/advise needed26 Aug 2004 02:13 GMT3
I'm sure you've all heard the story before - my wife and I and our two
kids are sick of tent camping.  We decided to buy a pop-up and I
bought a '92 Palomino from a friend.  I still haven't picked it up but
I've thoroughly checked it out and it's in great shape.  I don't have
Grayson Highlands State Park, VA25 Aug 2004 23:48 GMT3
I was wondering if anyone had been camping at this subject state park?
I wanted to know thoughts on the drive to the campground, the weather
in August, any anything else one can add.  Thanks.
Another towing question25 Aug 2004 15:34 GMT7
I tow with a Ford F-150 with a 5 speed straight shift.  Truck handles
the pop up with out any problem.  Trouble is I have a boat too, and no
matter how carefully I try to use the clutch, it breaks traction at the
boat ramps and I can hardly get the boat in and out.  I previously had ...
replace interiior lights with LEDs?25 Aug 2004 13:31 GMT10
Hi, all.
I have a 2001 Coleman Santa Fe CP, and I am trying to maximize my ability to
dry camp.  On our last trip we used rechargeable Coleman fluorescent lights,
and saved the battery use for the water pump.  We didn't run out of power on

Avoid filling water heater24 Aug 2004 05:21 GMT3
I'd like to avoid filling my water heater.  I'm told I might need a by
pass hose.  I have a '99 Jayco Cascade Heritage with the deluxe water
system.  Essentially, I'd like to maximize my fresh water usage.  If I
understand the water system correctly every time I turn the pump on it
Viking vs. Rockwood, opinions24 Aug 2004 02:50 GMT3
Will be purchasing my first pop-up soon. Have narrowed the choices down to:
Rockwood 1640LTD
or
Viking Epic 1706
Buying question23 Aug 2004 23:22 GMT6
Looking into buying a used pop up for weekend use. What should I look and
not look for besides the obvious like dry rot, mechanical, etc.? I don't
need showers or anything like that yet. Most good campsites have that
already available. Even if they don't, I could still "rough it" ...
