Why a Class A over a Class C?15 Jan 2005 19:20 GMT35
Our family has been pop-up camping for quite a while.  But now we're
thinking of moving to a motorhome for ease of setup.  It seems that many
people go from tents to Popups to Class C's then to Class A's.  While the
advantages of moving from a Popup to a Class C are clear to us, why ...

The weather in SE PA is varying between days of 40+ and days of 23+F.
I've been toying with going winter camping or at least trying it out
at home.
I have dehumidifying crystals in a container inside.  Sometimes I have
Questions about battery system in newly aquired pop up camper14 Jan 2005 02:12 GMT22
I just purchased a 2004 Coachmen Clipper Sport 086. It is slightly
used and hopefully I got a fair price on it. The wife, kid, and I are
going coast to coast this spring and summer. I have a few questions
about the battery system. Is there some type of adapter available that
Water Tank13 Jan 2005 18:24 GMT2
I have a small 1987 Coleman Popup camper.  The water tank is missing, but
there is a hose with a threaded fitting that goes under the dining bench.
Does anyone know where I can find a small 2-5 gallon tank that will attach
to the hose fitting?
Ontario Parks Reservation Policies13 Jan 2005 13:09 GMT7
Anyone camping in Ontario Parks this summer will want to be aware of a new
policy starting January 1, 2005 which will charge you a fee of between 10%
and 50% of your nightly fee if you have to change or cancel a reservation.
Most people have to book 5 months in advance to get a ...

critique of batteries in sought12 Jan 2005 20:45 GMT12
I'm going against common wisdom here but I think the "all new, exactly
the same" rule for replacing batteries in battery banks is a little too
restrictive and can be moderated as rationalized below.
I offer the following as a starting point for analysis and correction.
'05 toyota tacoma 4x4 as toad?12 Jan 2005 05:19 GMT4
Anyone know, can this vehicle be flat towed?
2005 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab 4x4 automatic.  I believe hubs are automatic.
I used to tow a Geo Tracker 4x4 automatic with manual hubs, which towed
nicely.

We where looking a campground around the Smokey's , now we decided to head

We have a 1992 Coleman Destiny Roanoke popup. We just expanded our
family and need more room. I have found a 1995 Coleman Rio Grande
locally that looks like a good deal. Is this a good model, does anyone
have expirience with this model? I would like to sell my current camper

Scissor Jack Lubrication09 Jan 2005 13:22 GMT5
I have four BAL scissor jacks on my travel trailer.  I have been using
silicone spray to lubricate them.  However, I don't think they are
being properly lubricated using silicone.  I emailed BAL (Norco)
several weeks ago for their recommendation but have not received a

Class C Diesel08 Jan 2005 03:25 GMT3
Does anyone know of a manufacturer who's making a Class C motorhome,
preferably < 24' long, that's using a diesel powerplant? Since they're
using a Ford/Chevy/Dodge chassis, you'd think you'd be able to get one
with a diesel engine...but I haven't had much luck in finding one. TIA
