| On pulling with the wrong vehicle. | 09 Jul 2005 04:00 GMT | 5 |
I have considered purchasing a small used trailer or pop up, been looking hard at pop ups and have found a few in really good condition for low cost. I am a Tent camper but the wife and daughter have had it with the tents. The thing is, what I have to tow with. Having lurked a while ...

| Loud Generator | 09 Jul 2005 03:52 GMT | 4 |
We just got back from a GREAT four-day "weekend" at a "local" state park. I prefer to "dry" camp for the increased solitude it provides. Also, the "primitive" sites in this particular campground are "undefined" allowing me to pull well back from the road. This increases our ...

Has anybody try one of those friction sway control devices? Do they work pretty well? Or should you use something different on the popup? Newt

| Ladder | 06 Jul 2005 23:09 GMT | 4 |
Just finished waxing the rig. What a chore without a step ladder (don't have the room to bring one along). Looking at the roof ladder attached to the rig I'm thinking that why it couldn't be modified to be both, a roof AND a step ladder. By pulling, say,

| Mylar covers over bunk ends | 06 Jul 2005 18:07 GMT | 8 |
I have some mylar 'space blankets' I purchased to cover the bunk ends of my '00 Coleman Mesa, as a barrier to radiant heat. I chose to use space blankets because they're bound on the edges and the fabric appears to be reinforced. Their size requires that I use 2 per bunk end. If ...

| air conditioner performance | 05 Jul 2005 12:37 GMT | 43 |
I just had a 13,500 BTU air conditioner installed in my pop-up and I'm wondering how I can check it's performance. It doesn't seem to be cooling as well as it should and I'm curious if there is a place in the popup (or at the vent) that I should take a measurement and what

| Continued Converter Problems | 05 Jul 2005 02:48 GMT | 6 |
We have a Coleman Santa Fe which we purchase new in 1999. We're about to have to get our 4th (FOURTH!!) converter. The first lasted a couple of years, then died. The second lasted about 2 or 3 years then died. The last one, a "World Friendship Company, LDT" one was installed ...

| Roof products? | 05 Jul 2005 00:08 GMT | 3 |
My RV has a 2 piece aluminum roof that is showing it's age. I have to do something about it this year, as it's starting to get pinholes. I'm leaning towards some kind of roll-on product.
