| Changing from 30 amp to 50 amp | 29 Sep 2005 12:22 GMT | 21 |
My MH has a 30 amp shore connection, a 6.5 KW generator (50 amp output) and 2 roof a/c's. As it now stands, I can only run one a/c at a time. What is involved in changing the shore line to 50 amps and by-passing the a/c selector switch? Has anyone done this? What are the

| Got the new trailer... questions | 28 Sep 2005 20:36 GMT | 25 |
OK, we got the 2000 Kiwi23c. We're in love, of course. The rig does everything we had wanted... plenty of space for the boys and some privacy for us. It tows well, our Safari conversion does very well indeed with it. I rather expected that

| Specialty Campgrounds | 27 Sep 2005 04:04 GMT | 9 |
I have noticed that a few 'specialty" campgrounds have been popping up. They didn't start out as "special", they just got that way. I have been to "ATV" campgrounds, "golf cart" campgrounds, "water park" campgrounds, "horse riding"campgrounds and etc.

| Inverter considerations? | 26 Sep 2005 23:55 GMT | 7 |
Our rig has several small inverters for various stuff - the GPS, TV, satellite, etc. I want to replace them with a single larger unit so I can wire it in properly. A 2 kw job would run anything onboard except the air conditioner.

My wife and I are planning a month long trip in the west in an RV rental. We probably do a one week "shakedown" trip before we go so we can do some learning. Yesterday we went to the RV and Camping Show in Boston. I am 6'2" and it

SOme may recall I finally got "Off the Ground". I am/was going to let my brother and his wife use my trailer temporarily until he gets into a house, about 2-4 weeks. Were in the Katrina zone (Southern MS) so right now its sort of hard to find one, anyway an issue has come up. I said ...

| RV Dealer | 26 Sep 2005 03:03 GMT | 2 |
My RV Dealer tells me that it is reccomended to reseal my Fifth Wheel every two years especially around the roof. It's a Holiday Rambler. I don't think I ever heard this before. He wants 500.00 bucks to do it. Is this a real reccomended practice???

| Roof Leak Questions | 25 Sep 2005 03:16 GMT | 7 |
I recently discovered signs of a roof leak in my Jayco fiver (small pool of tan-colored water on the counter under a window, light brown water leaking from the upper corner of the roof at the rear and from a tail light housing -- all after a rain). There are no soft spots on the ...

If any of the rort group is even thinking about needing tires in the next few months, best hurry up. With high petroleum prices comes price increases in all the stuff made from it. I gotta "feeling" we are going to see some

| Centurion converter | 24 Sep 2005 05:45 GMT | 12 |
My 98 Viking pop-up has a Centurion converter (115VAC -> 12V DC). While camping last week, it stopped working. Luckily, on this trip we had decided to take a 115 VAC small table lamp for better lighting when playing cards in the evening. Good thing - otherwise we would only ...
