Trailer brakes won't turn off09 Sep 2005 00:26 GMT11
I ran into two new problems this weekend, don't know if they are related,
but they're both electrical.
I have a Suburban and a newish-to-us Fireball (hah!) trailer.  As we started
to leave, I noticed that the battery in the trailer was dead.  I carried on,
Life Extension for a Rubber Roof08 Sep 2005 23:25 GMT2
My rubber roof on my 1996 Citation is nearing it's life expectancy. It
does not leak and looks to be in good condition. But it is old and was
applied in October 1995.
It there a magic coating that can be applied to extend the life of the
towing vechile  what to get?08 Sep 2005 21:04 GMT19
I have a Ford F150 4x4 5.4 liter truck which I pull my Aliner.  With the
cost of gas I have been thinking about getting something else.  That has
better mileage.
What do you all use or whould like to have?  I'd like to get at least 25 mpg
Pop-up rear ended08 Sep 2005 04:07 GMT4
Sorry this is a bit long, but I am a bit frazzled - please feel free to snip
in your replies and thanks for them.
Well, my Coleman pop-up got rear-ended while I was waiting to make a left
turn today (I was stationary with the turn signal on).  While I am not
What's a worthy replacement for my old Safari van?08 Sep 2005 02:18 GMT31
The 97 Safari has been a good choice for me as a family vehicle as
well as tow vehicle for pulling my Cheyenne pop-up.  It's getting to
be time to replace it.  I don't want a big SUV and I don't want
something wimpy.  The Astro/Safari filled a niche in size & power
Canada highway #11 and #1708 Sep 2005 00:03 GMT8
We are considering going north of the Great Lakes from New York to Minnesota
on our coming trip to the northwest in September.  Has anyone recently
traveled Canadian highway #11 or #17 through Ontario from Toronto to Thunder
Bay?  Hoping for relatively smooth roads.  Should be a ...
terry taurus07 Sep 2005 22:14 GMT7
I recently purchased a used 1985 Terry Taurus trailer 22 feet long. I have
been getting friends to assist me in moving it as I do not have a tow
vehicle. Does anyone know what the trailer weight would be and what the
minimum size of engine would be for towing this trailer.
Old Trailers07 Sep 2005 05:20 GMT10
When I bought my house the previous owner left two old trailers here.I
actually lived in one for about 6 months and it wasn't too bad. That is
a Ken-Craft 14 and it's still a usable trailer but I have no way to pull
it and have heard that most campgrounds don't allow these oldsters
Remove clutch fan from Southwind07 Sep 2005 02:21 GMT21
Have an '87 Southwind with a clutch fan that sounds like a jet engine.
Put on 2 aftermarket electric fans to keep the thing from turning on,
but it engages anyway, even when it isn't needed.
I tried to remove it, but cannot figure out how to get the fan itself
Canada- No guns, huh07 Sep 2005 01:58 GMT26
OTTAWA (Reuters) - More than 40 Canadian border guards walked off the
job this week to demand they be issued with handguns, and a union
official said on Thursday that others could follow suit unless Ottawa
issues them with weapons.
Canvas Replacement06 Sep 2005 21:24 GMT2
I have an older pop-up, 1982 Starcraft. Has anyone ever replaced the canvas
over the bunk ends?

Pick-up vs. SUV/Van06 Sep 2005 14:26 GMT16
If wheel base and towing capacities are the same do you think one vehicle is
better for towing over another? I'm hesitant to look into big SUV's
(Suburban, Excursion) or the larger vans assuming that their suspension and
ride won't be as good for towing as a pickup. What ya' ...
Question about Thetford Toilet06 Sep 2005 13:41 GMT2
I have a trailer far out in the country that has a Thetford Galaxy
toilet in it.  Wouldn't you know - it began leaking badly this past
weekend.  I had no manual of course.  Par for the course.
When I removed the toilet and dismantled it, I discovered that a
