Hello Felow RVers. My family has been trying to find an alternative to cable for our RV. We just found out that Dish Network is now offering mobile mounting solutions for people like us with trailers. I thought I would pass along the website to the group in case anyone was/is ...

Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas overnights???27 Oct 2005 15:45 GMT3
The RV parks in the above states really filled up after Rita and Katrina
with folks fortunate enough to have a mobile apartment to live in while
their permanent residence dried out.  We had to park in a Walmart a couple
of times in Arkansas the last time we went up that way (During ...
Coleman/Fleetwood Lift System  No Longer Clicks26 Oct 2005 06:20 GMT8
The manual lift system on my '97 Coleman/Fleetwood Santa Fe always used
to make a "clicking" noise when it was going up.  Recently, I was
cranking it down and my have gone too far, because I heard a "thud".
Now when I crank it up, it no longer makes the "clicking" noise,
Refrigerator use while underway26 Oct 2005 04:29 GMT64
For some reason yet to be determined my Norcold in my coach will only work
on AC from the gen or shore power or LP.  When I turn on the inverter when
disconnected from shore power and with the engine OFF, the fridge never
finds any AC.  My microwave and 120V tv will work like this.  ...

Propane in Winter25 Oct 2005 02:12 GMT67
I purchase a 5-th wheel, and have a space heater for heat in winter.
But, I also have propane for my stove and water heater.  Is there any
way the stove could safely be used to add heat in winter?  Is Carbon
Monoxide a problem in this case? and would a simple stove vent work for ...
RV Furnace Problem24 Oct 2005 10:58 GMT12
My camping buddy has an intermittent problem with his Suburban
furnace.  Seems sometimes it runs beautifully - sometimes not at all -
not even the fan.  Other times the fan will start but the burner
refuses to light (the igniter clicks so it probably is okay).
Resource for trip directions24 Oct 2005 05:01 GMT19
Does anybody know of a resource for trip directions that are
RV-friendly?  We are fairly new to the full-time RV life, in a 40' 5th
wheel, and I usually get my directions from AAA TripTik.  But the last
time I did that for a pull from Charlottsville, VA to Kentucky Lake,
Class B MH for sale22 Oct 2005 14:55 GMT36
We've reluctantly decided to consider selling our class B MH.   This
is a home-built rig, based on what was then a new '99 GMC Savana
extended 3500 ("1-ton") van, sporting a pop-up top from Sortsmobile.
It now has 85k miles, runs perfectly and averages about 15 mpg.
Getting ready for winter storage21 Oct 2005 20:23 GMT16
I have never stored a camper for the winter, let alone one outside.  I have
no choice, so I would like some advice from everyone on what to do to make
sure in the spring it isnt destroyed from vermin and rot.  Camper is pretty
old, 93 coleman rio grande.  Bought it from a guy ...
