| Where to Go? | 13 Oct 2005 22:50 GMT | 2 |
Where is the best place to look for camping areas in Texas. Our family like to camp at the state parks (Brazos Bend, Huntsville, Lake Texana, Rusk, etc), but they can be hard to get into. A lot of the RV "campgrounds" are just parking lots where the RVs are pushed together and ...

| About Buying an RV | 12 Oct 2005 21:28 GMT | 1 |
My wife and I have been contemplating the purchase of an RV for several months. At first, she was intent on buying a motor coach... mainly because several of her co-workers have them. She was dead set against fifth wheels. A trip to a big RV show (Hershey PA) changed that, ...

| Grease Gun | 11 Oct 2005 18:13 GMT | 2 |
This is a dumb question. I have had to use a grease gun for the first time in my life to grease up my red eye bearings on my popup. The gun fits over the zerk fine, but after I put the grease in and am ready to disconnect from the zerk, it takes all my strength to pull the thing

| Old Water | 11 Oct 2005 16:41 GMT | 6 |
I bought a used '97 camper. The previous owner said they have not used the camper in a couple years, but I noticed it has a full tank of water. Is there anything I can do to ensure the water is safe? I don't think we would drink the water, but I could see using it to do

| Electrical Problems | 11 Oct 2005 16:39 GMT | 3 |
I am very new to pop ups and have found a lot of of info on this newsgroup. I have a 90 Jayco p/u that has a battery that powers the interior lights with no problems. However, when I use a 140w inverter I bought from radio shack, it blows the fuse on the inverter. I also blew ...

| Crack in P/U | 11 Oct 2005 12:55 GMT | 3 |
Had the P/U out today washing it off, an '02' Coleman Niagara, and noticed on the wrap around rear plastic piece, on top where the top sits, a crack about 11/2' long at the corner. How best to fix this? Is it difficult to remove that wrap around piece and affix somehow a piece of ...

| Pop-Up recommendations | 11 Oct 2005 01:39 GMT | 30 |
I just bought a mini-van with a 3500lb towing capacity. I assume that pretty much limits me to a pop-up, which is fine. The one question I have is this: If I want my own toilet and shower, is it really worth it to get a

| Is there a reliable and discounted online RV store? | 11 Oct 2005 01:34 GMT | 17 |
I am new to this group and I love outdoor stuff. I just purchased an used 1993 Rockwood 1260 XL camper and would like to use it next summer with my 2000 Chevy venture. My chevy has a towing package but all I found was a socket connection with a group of wires. Of course, it
