REQ:  Can asphalt be used on a rubber TT roof?30 Apr 2006 02:46 GMT2
I figure not - but what would happen exactly?  The stuff sold in RV
stores is so darned expensive.
I have a leak I want to repair - when I find it that is.
Thanks

The water heater on my 2000 Coleman Niagara will not stay lit when the wind
blows from the left side.  Has anyone found a solution for this problem?
Thanks,
Gas War28 Apr 2006 02:49 GMT62
The ever climbing gas prices are forcing many of us with RVs to park our
rigs.  We can not stop buying gas for our every day needs, but we can force
a GAS WAR to drive down prices.  How you say; by boycotting the largest oil
companies (Exxon, Mobil).  Just think of it, if millions ...

We're planning a trip down to Seven Feathers Casino in Southern Oregon
in a couple of months & planned to stay in their adjacent RV park
(http://www.sevenfeathers.com/seven_feathers_rv_park.php).  I heard
from a friend  who called to make his reservation that "they don't
Mosquito Magnet / Deleto Experience25 Apr 2006 17:52 GMT1
I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with the propane burning
mosquito control devices, like the Mosquito Deleto and the Mosquito
Magnet.  They sound great, getting rid of mosquitoes for an acre of
land.  Wow.  If they actually work I would be tempted to get one for
Interactive RV magazine24 Apr 2006 19:42 GMT5
Anyone out there subscribe to the Interactive RV Magazine?
I received the first number in February and subscribed (free) recently.
I just received the April number, but when I click on the magazine
cover thumbnail, I get a "Impossible to find page" message.  Since I'm
1974 Parkland - problems with mechanism to raise and lower 24 Apr 2006 15:37 GMT7
My husband and I just bought a 1974 Parkland - the registration shows this
as the Make - no manufacturer named - one corner seems to have fallen off
the pulley system and since it is very much older - we have no owners manual
and no way to figure out how to get at that area to ...

Anyhow, it's the premier (2307) with a twelve foot box. The previous owner
said he was the second owner and listed eight times it had been used in it's
Leaving Truck Camper on Jacks?24 Apr 2006 10:40 GMT3
I have a 1997 Coachmen which has 4 electric jacks. They are screw jacks.
Camper is on a 2001 Dodge 2500 TD 6-speed.
I need to put cinder blocks under the jacks to get it high enough to get
it in and out of the truck.
Next accessory item for class C24 Apr 2006 04:52 GMT4
Ok, I have some minor solar panels, I have decided that an LPG accessory
tank isn't needed based upon my useage.
I don't have and never will have a TV in the RV although I use a notebook
computer in travel for movies, journal and such.
Looking for weatherstrip for skylights23 Apr 2006 09:29 GMT2
We have a 1997 Coachmen PU slide in camper. The weather strip on the
main skyight/escape hatch over the bed (which is over the truck cab) is
shot. At 26 below (F) the heater just works too hard (we bought this for
snowmobiling). I have been looking everywhere for a replacement.

I don't know how you guys that have been retired for years, do it.
This retirement is tough.
It's just one day after another.
There is never a break from it.
Something RV related for a change23 Apr 2006 02:44 GMT2
Every so often, one encounters an experience that not only makes all the
hassles and challenges of RVing worth it, but becomes an experience of a
lifetime. I would like to share one with you all.
Recently my wife and I stopped in Albuquerque for a few days to shop and
Blue Ridge Parkway reopened after storm damage22 Apr 2006 22:47 GMT8
I saw recently that repairs have been completed on the last stretch of
the BRP that was damaged last year by tropical storms. The entire
parkway is now open.
The damaged area was in the area from Linville to Spruce Pine.
