WILL SILL FOR PRESIDENT31 May 2006 00:02 GMT1
+++Now that our current President "Shrub" has demonstrated his complete
lack of ability to govern a complex nation of intellectuals such as
ourselves, it is obviously time for a change.  And who better to step
in and fill the void than the omnipotent and incredible storehouse of
Help: where to camp near oceanside long island walmart/truck stops/campgrounds ?29 May 2006 04:16 GMT1
This thursday june 1, my band has a gig in oceanside long island

I LOVE WILL SILL28 May 2006 03:20 GMT7
+++ I have been horrified and dismayed by all of the negative posts
about the beloved Will Sill.  He is a giant in the RV industry, an
expert on virtually all aspects of recreational vehicle use, a
heartfelt, sensitive soul who graciously offers the very core of his
Electric Drill to Raise a Popup27 May 2006 23:16 GMT4
It was from advice on this newsgroup several years ago that I bought a Bosch Model 33618 cordless drill having 550 in-pounds of torque*, but as we get older, we usually find ourselves opting for campsites having water and electric service (plus cable connection and WIFI service ...
swamp cooler26 May 2006 06:15 GMT5
I have my 35 foot Thor parked and hooked up on my half acre most of
the
year.  Southern Calif, close to Riverside.

at home dump station25 May 2006 01:55 GMT27
We've just purchased our first motorhome so we're new to all of the care and
feeding items.  Our house has a septic tank instead of city utilities.
Anyone have any experience setting up something with a septic tank to dump
the black and grey water tanks?
Need bigger wheels for Starcraft25 May 2006 01:14 GMT3
I have a Starcraft chassis that I have converted to a utility trailer.  It
has the 4 bolt 4" bolt circle wheel pattern and I would like to install 13"
or 14" wheels on it instead of the 12" that it came with.  Anyone done this
who can tell me what will fit?
Changing suburban water heater element?24 May 2006 17:22 GMT1
I made the tragic mistake of turning on the electric part of my water heater
thinking that the tank was full of water. I believed I cooked it because all
I can get is lukewarm water out of the taps.  Is changing the element a
difficult and/or dangerous thing for a newbie to do? I ...
Black streak remover23 May 2006 13:53 GMT7
Yep I'm in the middle of learning a lot. Couple of years back I bought a
white trailer. At the time Pace made a real black streak remover. It was
horsepower stuff. Had to work small areas at a time and the area better be
well ventilated as it would take your breath away. But the ...
tire inflation for towing23 May 2006 02:49 GMT4
I've noticed when towing (or carrying loads of concrete, etc in the
back) that the handling is a bit "loose" and uncomfortable.
I will try to properly balance the camper (correct tongue weight)- not
sure how to correctly estimate the proper tow hitch height (adjustable
Question about slides.20 May 2006 03:06 GMT6
I was looking at a 2000 Newmar Mountain Aire last week and found the
slide to be V E R Y   S L O W.  It operates at about half the speed of
any other slide I've seen.
The owner was bragging that this was a feature of the Newmars.  Is he
Opinion of older Coleman pop ups?20 May 2006 03:05 GMT7
Looking at a small Coleman that I'm guessing is from the mid to late 80s. It's similar to this one:

Appears to be in good shape. Anything in particular that I should watch for? Looking to ...
Maximum gas purchase20 May 2006 02:53 GMT33
Does anyone know what the deal is with credit card companies limiting the
per transaction purchase of gasoline to $75 or $100?
We've been traveling in the south west, and the first time it happened I was
using  my Am Ex card, and the pump stopped at $99.  So I figured maybe the
Abe's of Maine20 May 2006 02:17 GMT3
Interesting policy they have. I use MS Streets and Trips as my mapping and
GPS program in the MH, but have nothing for the Honda. We're really tired of
being in strange towns, out sight seeing, and getting turned around, so we
decided to buy a GPS unit for the car.
