Battery questions14 May 2006 10:10 GMT32
For the past several months I've been running my van with no
alternator. How low should I let it get before charging the
battery? I've just recently started monitoring it with a tester.
It started today at 12.66V, and after starting the engine
Where is these places?14 May 2006 00:31 GMT25
I am wanting to know where these two places are.  Does anyone know?
1.  http://home.att.net/~ctbarbarin/files/island_mountainside.jpg  I came across this pix in a Power Point I found at school so I
copied it.
2.  Isn't there a place, maybe in Redwood NP, where a tree straddles the ...
Dry rotted tires13 May 2006 21:07 GMT15
I have an 2004 class C on a Ford chassis. It came with Michelon LTX
tires. The tires seem to be cracking. I know that sun damage will cause
this, but 2 years seems a little early. Also, since both sides are
doing this and only one side faces the sun, is there other causes?
water tank leak13 May 2006 20:16 GMT9
I recently purchased a 95 Starcraft pop-up camper.  The previous owner
informed me about repairs he made to the water tank after encountering a
rock.  When I filled it recently, I see there is a steady drip of water from
the patched area--a corner on a 20-gallon white plastic ...

from Heartland America, also at:

They have a 1000 watt gas 2-cycle engine (probably gas/oil mixture) with
removing a RV tolet12 May 2006 00:51 GMT1
I need to remove the tolet from our rv to make it easier to lay new
floor covering.  I have removed many a house tolet and reinstalled with
a fresh wax seal.
Question... Does the rv use a reuseable rubber seal or a wax seal like
Repairing holes in canvas10 May 2006 02:59 GMT6
I want to repair rather than replace the canvas on our 1996 Coleman
Tent Trailer. There are 3 holes in it, about 1 to 1.5 inches in
diameter. Since I do not care how it looks, what can I use to repair
it? I tried duck tape, and it worked okay for awhile, but the solar
Fleetwood Niagara/Sequoia  drain system questions08 May 2006 20:39 GMT15
I am looking at the new Fleetwood Niagara/Sequoia folding trailers and
have a question about the sewage/drain system. I understand that there
is a 9 gallon blackwater holding tank directly under the commode. My
question is, is there some form of holding tank for the sink or do ...

stiffer matress for my truck camper ? (have back problem)05 May 2006 03:42 GMT3
I have a small viking pop up truck camper. I have a bad back and the
matress
in it is not very stiff. I put a thermorest matress on top of it which
is a decent back packing matress, but it's still not as stiff as my
WILL SILL NATIONAL FAN CLUB DISSOLVES05 May 2006 02:02 GMT1
***After months of struggling to increase membership and justify the
overhead connected with a nationwide organization, the Will Sill
National Fan Club has finally decided to throw in the towel.
***With only Lon Van Ostran and Unk desiring enrollment, despite a
window leak04 May 2006 03:35 GMT4
We recently purchased a 2000 Winnebago Journey.  After a heavy
rainstorm we noticed a trickle of water running down the inside of the
passenger window from the top right corner.  It was enough to create a
small puddle of water on the dashboard.  We returned to the dealer who
Fontana outside shower parts03 May 2006 05:24 GMT1
OK, I blew it.  Winterized the camper my self and left one faucet closed.
Apparently there was just enough water to cause it to break the cap nut that
holds the outside faucet control to the box.  It also serves to hold the
actual flow control spigot inside the housing.  Simple ...
Some newbie questions.03 May 2006 03:04 GMT8
Hello all. I recently sold my Coleman Popup (Which I never got to use) that
was supposed to get me off the ground. I have just taken a job 100 miles
from home. Rather than rent a house (The wife is staying put), Ill be a
weekend commuter (Living there and going home on weekends). ...
Chicago Camping02 May 2006 19:42 GMT6
This summer I plan to visit Chicago and travel downtown to the Newberry
Library. I really don't want to have to drive downtown, nor pay for public
parking.  Is there a campground near the Chicago mass transist system that I
can park my car at and travel downtown with?
