Ram 2500 or 3500?21 Jun 2006 00:06 GMT21
Which would you buy to pull a 28' 5er?  Not a lot more for a 3500.  4wd,
single rear wheels.  Would a 2500 be marginal, adequate, or just get the
3500, and have it pull about anything?  Going with the Cummins Diesel.

Question20 Jun 2006 00:14 GMT8
Why do 5er's use 5th wheel hookups and cargo trailer use gooseneck hookups ?
I have seen gooseneck balls that are concealed in the floor so you can use
the bed of the truck without removing a big heavy 5th wheel hitch, so I can
understand that part.

Towing, period18 Jun 2006 06:43 GMT41
All this talk of what vehicle can tow how much weight for what distance
at how many MPH leads me to this remark: California law limits ANY
vehicle towing ANYTHING to 55MPH.  That's why one sees 99% of the trucks
not exceeding about 62MPH, even on I-5.

Converter Toast?14 Jun 2006 18:35 GMT18
We just arrived home from our first trip in our new (to us) '01 Mesa. Since
it rained for the past 2 days, I had to pack it wet and then set it up again
in the yard once we arrived home.
I hooked up the electrical to the house and plugged in a small portable

Scratch the Honda Pilot... How about the Nissan Titan?13 Jun 2006 03:52 GMT46
Okay, scratch the Honda Pilot idea. I have read up a little.. still far
from having any real knowledge though.
The Nissan Titan got top safety honors, and seems to be equipped for
towing. I am considering a crew cab version.
