We have been tent camping for years, with most of the conveniences in our
new RockWood Popup.  It has a porta potty, shower and inside outside
cooking, plus of course beds and seating.  We used to carry 20 lb propane
bottles to cook and heat the tent with, air mattresses to sleep ...
Murals on my silver Avion30 Aug 2006 01:46 GMT1
I recently bought a Silver Avion Fleetwood. Looks like an Airstream.
It's 22 years old and still in good shape. I had to replace some of the
Avion logos. While I was a it I decided to print up a couple mural
designs for it. The one I have on it now was a painting done by a
Putting In My Own Septic/Cesspool Solution at Home29 Aug 2006 15:12 GMT18
Sometimes I camp where I don't have a sewer hookup on my site. I never
feel like I can take the time to do the right job at a dumping station
- you just can't tie it up for too long. I am getting my driveway
re-done. We have a cesspool at the house. I was wondering if I could

I have a chevy 7.4 litre and I replaced the started because the heat of
the engine took its toll on the starter.  A month later I could not
start the engine.  No click or sound when the ignition key is turned.
The new starter was no different.  The next three new starters were no

My parents have a travel trailer that is roughly 10 years old.  This
year they've had MAJOR leaks that all seem to be coming through the
siding and the roof areas, most of it around the joints and windows and
any other kind of opening.  Is there some kind of a sealant that they

Dometic air conditioner problem28 Aug 2006 02:53 GMT15
We've been full timing in a 1999 Forest River Windsong (going on 7 months)
while running our business and building ourselves an extensively renovated
little home. The RV has
two rooftop Dometic units.  The rear unit is fine, but the front produces no
Propane - temperature and altitude27 Aug 2006 16:55 GMT11
Just returned last night from our annual pilgrimage to Yosemite,
specifically Tuolumne Meadows. Awesome trip as usual.
Normally I fill a 20 lb propane bottle before we leave and use it for a
little propane stove usage, some heater, and a week of chilling the 3-way

Camping in Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge26 Aug 2006 16:50 GMT7
My wife really wants to visit Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge this fall.  Neither of
us has ever been to east Tennessee other than to drive through on I-40.
We'll be travelling in a 40'+ motorcoach, so 50 amp service is essential and
pull-through is desirable.  Would like to find a pretty ...

Propane Pressure25 Aug 2006 14:22 GMT15
So my Rockwood has an IN/OUT stove.  There is a line with a valve
located at the back end of the trailer with a valve.  There is then a
flexible line that runs up through the body with a quick release
coupler where I can have the line running inside or outside that hooks
