Ocean view camping?18 Aug 2006 17:58 GMT27
I get the feeling that ocean view camping is a thing of the past.  Or
is there one somewhere that I don't know about along the southeastern
shoreline?  Myrtle Beach, perhaps?  Where you can park your RV close
enough to see or at least hear the surf?
1995 Coleman Cedar Electrical Questions16 Aug 2006 21:25 GMT2
Hi.....I have a 1995 Coleman Cedar pop-up which has a converter.   It
never had a battery up on the front and I would now like to get one for
dry camping.    Prior camping has all been in private cg's with shore
power.   There is a wire connector in place and I need to know where to
Camping in Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge16 Aug 2006 12:51 GMT2
My wife and I are looking forward to a first-time trip into east Tennessee
this fall.  We're researching campgrounds that will accommodate a 40'+
motorcoach and would like to find some place that doesn't look like a
parking lot, which is a comment I've heard about area ...
Nice Campground in the Santa Fe/Taos Area16 Aug 2006 02:06 GMT1
We plan to travel to the Santa Fe/Taos Area in about a month.  Can anyone
suggest a nice, reasonably priced campground in the Santa Fe area?  We do
not need a lot of fancy amenities since we will be away from the campground
most of the time.  Just clean, accessible, and not one ...
Where to get vintage Class B manuals (a little long)?14 Aug 2006 20:00 GMT38
Hi folks--
I probably asked this before when I last accessed the newsgroups, but I'd
really like to find out where I could get an operating manual for my vintage
class B RV--a 18"to 19' long 1979 Dodge Ram.  I bought it back in late 2003,

Add-in storage in a popup14 Aug 2006 01:17 GMT5

wardrobe, pantry) that we can mount in a popup either hanging from the roof
or sitting on a counter ? I've ween folding shelves for the bed area but
nothing within living space.
Saturn Vue AWD or Chevy HHR13 Aug 2006 23:23 GMT6
My better half is pushing me to get rid of the Saturn SC (too small and
burning as much oil as gas).  We've narrowed it down to either the Vue for
the AWD or HHR for fuel economy, price, and "cool" factor.  Can any owners
share their opinions of either/both of these. Keep in mind it ...
Gulfstream Ultra SE12 Aug 2006 15:43 GMT7
My wife and I are first time RVers. We have been looking at several things,
including a 2007 Gulf Stream Ultra SE. The floorplan and features of this
unit are ideal for our needs (just the two of us and our 2 little dogs!).
I've read a lot of negative comments about Gulf Stream, ...
Trailer Lights problem, tow vehicle 4-way to trailer 7-way10 Aug 2006 18:00 GMT7
Just got a 92 Coleman popup and trying to get the lights working.
There are no brakes on the trailer, so all I need is the lights
working.  My 4-way on the tow vehicle works just fine on my other
trailers with 4-way connectors, but the new trailer has a 7-way
Failing Rv Wallpaper10 Aug 2006 16:37 GMT14
The wallpaper in our 1982 jamboree class C is brittle, failing and pulling
off the walls in places.  In other places such as the kitchen and bath the
wallpaper seams to be a vinyl type and is staying in place, but is just
plain ugly.

spots in the flooring which have fully rotted out or soon will. i have
a strong carpentry background, unfortunately none of it has been linked
to camper repair.
7-way trailer connector to 4-way tow vehicle problems09 Aug 2006 13:39 GMT7

Pop up Advice for New Campers09 Aug 2006 10:49 GMT35
We have decided to forego the tent camping with the family and look
into purchasing our first Pop up.  We're looking for pre owned since we
don't want to spend more than $2,000 - $3000, but we aren't sure what
we should look for in options/equipment.  We know  we want at least a 6
