New Pop Up Camper - Help me ladies and gentlemen!!06 Sep 2006 23:26 GMT10
My husband and I recently purchased a 1994 Jayco Pop up camper in good
condition.   We spent today getting it cleaned up and ready to go.  Now
understand, I have absolutely NO camping experience.  My idea of
roughing it has been when the jacuzzi is broken at the Sheraton!  My

Tahoe Trip Report, Starcraft Wiring Update06 Sep 2006 00:39 GMT5
You may remember about a month ago I was working hard to get our
Starcraft rig up to snuff for our longest trip ever, to the west shore
of Tahoe.  Main thing was wiring, had a brake controller installed in
the tow vehicle, etc.  We went on that trip and I'm happy to report it

Hi there, hoping to get some of your views on this:
We current have a 2002 GMC Envoy 4X4 SUV, with an inline 6 cylinder

Axle "flip" for increased ride height.05 Sep 2006 02:06 GMT4
I know it really isn't being flipped but figure you know what I mean. I
moved the axle from over the springs, to under the springs on our 2006
Fleetwood Sea Pine. While in the process I added some shock mounts as well.
Here is my question. Has anyone else done this and also ...
Magnatek 6612 Converter05 Sep 2006 01:40 GMT7
Let me ask a question.  When connected to 110V all the outlets work fine.
But, the 12V DC lights in the ceiling do not work.  Is this a function of
not having a full 30 amp connection to the converter?  I've tried just about
everything else to determine why they do not have power.
Hitching a Teardrop trailer05 Sep 2006 01:38 GMT4
My father has a teardrop trailer he pulls with a Subaru Outback.  The
hitch for whatever reason was installed too high to be able to jack the
tongue of the trailer high enough to get it onto the hitch without
lifting.  He used to lift it no problem, but has since hurt his back

Trailer Wiring Harness and No Brake Light Condition02 Sep 2006 19:24 GMT35
Hi to all...
After a camping  hiatus of about, oh... 40 years, I've purchased a
used pop up ('00 Jayco Quest 10X).  My tow vehicle is my "take the dog

Battery Connections02 Sep 2006 04:34 GMT3
I am 68 years old and own a Coleman/Fleetwood Niagara. I let someone borrow
my camper last year and they "killed" the battery.
I replaced the battery with an Optimum deep marine battery and just went to
re-attach the wires. There is a black cable and a white. I am assuming the
We survived our first trip out and it rained like hell02 Sep 2006 02:04 GMT9
Well we took the starcraft out for its first trip (used the plate ff the
boat trailer) It rained real hard a good part of the weekend and we kept
