Onan Generator Problem13 Dec 2006 13:19 GMT24
I just purchased my fathers 1986 Southwind Eagle 33'. The generator
stops when you after releasing switch.  I took the motor home to
Camping World in Ft. Myers, FL 2-1/2 weeks ago and they still have not
identified the problem. I am up to 6 hours on diagnostics and no
Patching a rubber roof13 Dec 2006 11:06 GMT7
I have some "pinhole" leaks, don't really know how many,
impossible to find.  Have been thinking of replacing the
roof as a D-I-Y project.  I have thought of replacing only
part of the roof, overlapping 18-24" or so of the new rubber
OIL filter wrenches13 Dec 2006 10:14 GMT18
This one will work on almost any filter.  I must reiterate that if you need
a wrench, it was put on too tight.

I changed my oil, and the engine light went out.
Only thing I can think of is a viscosity sensor.
Weird.

Are the $12 oil filters worth the money?  How about the air filters?  Are
they THAT much better?

Solar Panel Help11 Dec 2006 16:57 GMT1
We acquired a flexible Uni-solar 32W panel. There are two wires leads a
red one and a black one. Which is (+) and which is (-)? I was thinking
that Red was (+) but I'm not receiving any readings through the charge
controller. When I reverse the leads I get a reading on my ...
Re-roofing a camper10 Dec 2006 20:21 GMT5
I have been keeping my warrior in the barn as we found a leak. Last
summer we had it in the dealers shop for a sealtec test and after much
work the place could not fix it. At this point we are looking into
giving it up or putting a new roof on it.
Drunks on the road.10 Dec 2006 19:19 GMT11
Here's a story to scare everyone.
A few weekends ago a couple pulled into a campsite behind my father's
site.  They had a HUGE 5th wheel with slides.  It looked like it was
brand new. They had friends pull in beside them.
An uneventful outing would be nice...10 Dec 2006 13:01 GMT9
We went for an overnighter in our 30' MH this past weekend. First to
Woodland, CA to the Hayes Truck Museum which is connected to the
Heidrick Ag History Center (www.aghistory.org). Lots of great old
trucks, farm equipment, and such. While not 'museum restorations"
Water Heater Pilot Going Out09 Dec 2006 09:41 GMT12
I just bought a new RockWood Premier PopUp, and the Suburban Brand Hot Water
heater frequently, but not all the time keeps going out.  It does NOT have
the automatic/electric relighter, although I still need to check if my
particular model can be adapted for one.  The manual also ...
Removing (and reinstalling) an awning08 Dec 2006 12:43 GMT2
Sometime this Spring I would like to remove the awning from my pop-up,
clean it, and then put it back on.  I have come concern on getting the
thing in the channel though.  It doesn't seem likely that it will just
slid back in with no problem.  Is there some sort of lubricant that
Oil changing/engineers rant07 Dec 2006 22:46 GMT34
I just changed the oil and filter in my 2006 Dodge Cummins engine.
The drain plug is nicely located, and has a female square 3/8" fitting to
insert a socket extension in.  Nice.
The filter was way up in amongst a bunch of stuff.  There was a pipe
Best East Coast Campsites07 Dec 2006 18:46 GMT1
I am seeking recommendations for camp grounds on the ocean between
North Carolina and Georgia. I stayed at Ocean Lakes in Myrtle Beach
last year and liked it a lot, but my adult daughter, who lives on the
beach during vacation, claims she got bit up by sand fleas. I've been

2006 Dodge Cummins 2500
I just got back from a trip.  The mileage was 7300 before the trip, now it
is 7600.  I KNOW the oil was to be changed before the trip, but it didn't
happen.  I was in temperatures that ranged from 1 degree to 35 degrees.  I
