I did my good deed for the day today.11 Apr 2007 00:44 GMT10
During my daily 60 mile training ride I noticed an RV parked in a little
roadside rest area. The windows were closed up tight and there was no
generator running or anything. No people in sight. They must have been
off hiking or something. Anyway, they left their dog inside (a ...

Are Big RVs Too Dangerous?10 Apr 2007 19:07 GMT5
As several have mentioned here big RV's are not tested for
crashworthiness, dynamic stability and road handling. Couple this with
elderly/older drivers with ordinary drivers licenses and you may have
a recipe for impending disaster. It looks like several lawyers make a
What does RV stand for?10 Apr 2007 18:52 GMT19
I think it stands for Recreational Vehicle. Unless I'm mistaken,
everybody who operates an RV needs to keep that fact in mind. You aren't
in business. You don't make money like professional truckers. It's not
your job to drive your RV. You do it in the name of recreation. It's

I see lots of these things on the road. They usually have a
color-matched RV being towed along behind. They always seem to be in
some great hurry and few, if any, of them are courteous drivers. They
Do RVer's really pay their fair share?10 Apr 2007 01:18 GMT20
I've noticed many going on about RVer's paying road taxes. There is no
denying they pay road taxes when they purchase fuel and in some cases
pay a lot of taxes. But let's compare them to commercial tractor
trailers. The big rigs pay much more in taxes and they perform an
greasing wheel bearings09 Apr 2007 01:34 GMT16
I have a 95 Starcraft Starmaster pop-up camper that I've owned for just over
a year.  I read that I need to grease the wheel bearings but I haven't found
any information on how to do this myself.  Looks like I need to take the
wheel off to remove the hub cover.  I would be ...

Choosing & Installing GPS in Class C08 Apr 2007 22:07 GMT9
In a week or two I will be ordering a 29' Winnebago Class C and was
debating which GPS would be the easiest for Mr. Magoo to both install
and read?  (Yep, I'm dating myself.)  Off the top of my head it looks
like the Garmin SteetPilot 7200 would work better than most with it's
Getting real tire off my 75 Dodge??08 Apr 2007 21:06 GMT1
I jack it up, loosen the bolts which were torqued to 450 lbs and then
I can't get tires off because there is no clearance. Its running into
the side of camper and the only thing I can think of is to somehow
jack the bady up about 3 in.
