RV'ing in Canada29 Mar 2008 06:09 GMT120
My wife & I are planning on retiring in a couple of years.  We plan on
traveling in the 48 states & Alaska with our 5th wheel RV.  We would
also like to travel through Canada.  We've heard Canada is a beautiful
country with many sights and attractions to see & enjoy.

Many states require CDL license to operate RV26 Mar 2008 04:38 GMT60
Many states now require you to have a CDL (commercial driver's license) to
legally operate an RV on that state's highways.
Are you operating legally?  Check it out here:

Solar Panels26 Mar 2008 04:33 GMT29
I'm interested in installing two smaller photoelectric solar panels on my
camper.  I'm concerned about drilling and such in the roof.  Can I "glue"
the panels to the roof?  Will they hold under "most" conditions while
travelling?
Formaldehyde and camping25 Mar 2008 16:31 GMT9
Now that the CDC has confirmed high (toxic) levels of formaldehyde in
the travel trailers FEMA supplied to Katrina victims, especially in warm
weather, I did a google search on Formaldehyde in campers.  It turns out
that:
Towing25 Mar 2008 13:50 GMT3
I have a 1998 Mazda B2500 (4 Cyl. model).  Could that tow a 20 foot
camper?  What would be the weight limit you folks would suggest?
Is Dr.Hal0nf1r£$ really an erstwhile fundy?25 Mar 2008 03:24 GMT10
I got an e-mail from Dave in Lake Villa and he gave me all the scoop on
Sharron (the halonfires wankerette). Turns our she's a fundy who got
disillusioned and turned to witchcraft because she lacked the wit to
comprehend the intricacies of the only true religion - Fundamental ...
Solar Bunk Covers?24 Mar 2008 14:32 GMT11
There's a company in Texas, PopUp Gizmos, that makes bunk end covers out of
what appears to me to be those aluminized "space blankets," which ostensibly
reflect hard sunshine off your bunk end roofs and help lower the inside
temperature in your camper when you're compelled to set ...
Colman Water faucet24 Mar 2008 14:29 GMT13
I have a 2004 Colman Taos and last winter (06-07) apparently I didn't
remove enough of the water out of the water pump and it cracked the
plastic housing so that it leaks.
This is the SHURflo hand pump and they no longer make that model.
Floor fasteners24 Mar 2008 14:17 GMT28
Hi i have a 1975ish popup viscount camper.
The floor was a bit "spongey" in places so we lifted the lino up and found
several fasteners that hold the flooring onto the steel beams under the
flooring. They have a flat flush head on them and a hole in the centre of
2008 Fleetwood Bayside - Question about the jacks24 Mar 2008 14:06 GMT4
Newbie question: Why on earth does the manual say that you should
never lower the roof with the jacks down? Seems like the stabilizers,
um... stabilize the entire triailer so it doesn't wobble as the roof
is going down. We had an old Jayco and the jacks were the first thing
