94 Z28 engine misses when warm15 May 2004 18:08 GMT2
I have a 94 z28 which runs fine when it is cold and warming up.  After I
drive it about 1/2 and hour or so it starts to miss at 2000 rpms.  If you
depress the throttle at 2000 rpms 55 mph it jumps and misses.  If you floor
it it seems to run okay and take off.

I have a 94 Z28 with 64K on it. It will only start if I warm the
engine first with a halogen light. Once started, it does not restart
as crisply as it used to.
I replaced the ignition module at 40k. Question: Do I take the beast
'00 SS Clutch "Spring" 12 May 2004 05:04 GMT2
After about a year and 6k to 8k miles my clutch pedal started to squeak,
kinda embarrassing. Then one day I got in, pushed in on the clutch pedal to
start it and bang! The clutch didn't feel any different and it still
functioned as it should but my squeak was gone.  Or so I thought ...

When at high rpm's it makes a sound like backfiring and people have told me
it's because the catalytic converter has gone bad.  If this is so what's a
good high flow cat to use?

Weird Quadrajet???03 May 2004 00:29 GMT2
I got a strange carb! The P/N 7032750 does not make any sense using the
standard rochester number system! It was on my 68 camaro R/S w/327 engine.
It has the fuel feed pointing to the side and the choke is actuated by the
bi-metal spring on the intake manifold. The part number is ...
Difficulty Installing Transmission Mount02 May 2004 00:11 GMT2
The tranny mount on my '97 Firebird Formula was totally shot.  The
rubber had separated from the metal bracket.  I held the old and new
mounts side-by-side to verify I have the right one.
Unfortunately when I went to install the new one, the transmission had
Clutch and Transmission01 May 2004 20:43 GMT2
   I have a 96 Z28 6 speed. I Recently had my clutch done. Now I have a
Center Force dual friction clutch. The shop machined my flywheel and every
thing seemed OK but the clutch was a good deal lower now than it was which
is to be expected. I also had a problem previously where the ...
'67 Camaro tach wiring01 May 2004 08:00 GMT3
I have a '67 Camaro RS convertible.  When I bought the car the tach didn't work.  Upon removing the speedo/tach module, I found a blue wire soldered to the printed circuit on the back of the module and coiled up, not connected to anything.  Is this the wire I need to connect to ...

To anyone out there in the group,
I am restoring a 1968 Tic-Toc-Tach dash cluster to install into a
non-tach car.   I was wondering if anyone knows how to bench test the
tachometer.  I have basic electronic tools and knowledge, except I
