Hi, My name is james. I am currently enrolled in college, and I am having a
really hard time paying my tuition, I work full time and still I am on the
verge having to quit school because of my bills. I am writing this to ask that
you donate a buck or two so that I can finish my ...
99 C5 A4 transmission problems29 Feb 2004 20:48 GMT2
Nice day for driving, but on the freeway, the trans started to slip. Limped
home at about 40 mph with tach showing typically 2,000 rpm. not good. almost
30,000 miles on the beast. Are these transmission fragile? I do like to launch
the vehicle, and this makes me consider that maybe ...

As a former Forder amd Mustanger I occasionally check on my former
favorite car.
Is what I read true. The new Mustang does not have an independanr rear
suspension? What is that about? Isn't this the 20th century?
95 Starting issue29 Feb 2004 03:10 GMT7
Usually, it starts quickly. But sometimes, it takes up to 5 seconds or
so. Big problem? Or normal. Funny, it seems to have the issue over a
short period of time. Like Yesterday, I took my boy to McDonalds.
Parked the car, went in and ate came out, the car took about 5 seconds
Rough guess29 Feb 2004 01:18 GMT4
If you were to put a ballpark number on a 88 Vette coupe, with 109k,
that will take rugs, weatherstripping all the way around, front discs,
a new center console and some general TLC that ALSO has a rebuilt
title, what would that number be?  I drove it, it runs ok, it was hit
Opinions on restoring a '6328 Feb 2004 21:05 GMT12
Well, I'll throw open the can of worm here...I am knee deep in restoring my
'63 Corvette.  This is a one-owner vehicle (my father purchased it new in
November of 1962) and it's been sitting in my garage for over 20-years while
I worked myself up to restoring it.  We just got the ...

extended warranty27 Feb 2004 19:45 GMT2
I'm closing in on the end of my three years, only 27K on it. I've
never bought an extended warranty for any of my cars but I'm
contemplating it for this one. Haven't had a load of issues, door
actuator, gas gauge (a couple of times), headlight motor, nothing much
C5 Starting27 Feb 2004 18:25 GMT18
I'm new to the list and have a neophyte question...
Just bought a very clean 97. The car runs fine but is a little hard to
start. Seller says this is normal for C5s; they'll always crank right up on
the second attempt (which has been true so far). Just wondering if any other
Tall people and Vettes27 Feb 2004 16:55 GMT18
I've been looking at old postings trying to determine which models I could
fit in. I'm 6'4" and 290 lbs with a 36" inseam. I figured I might get
additional  insight from this group. I spend 1 hr. and 50 min. commuting and
I would drive the Corvette daily. I've always wanted a ...
Two months in Hell27 Feb 2004 13:57 GMT1
Well, not Hell, but a Jeep Grand Cherokee. It's been a long cold
winter (Cinderella rocks!) here in Michigan. But in the last 2 weeks,
I've driven the Corvette more days than not. I give all the people who
drive 'em in northern climates year round credit...for guts...But it's
which year zr1 had most h.p.27 Feb 2004 05:47 GMT6
Flowmasters27 Feb 2004 05:13 GMT24
I am thinking of getting the Flowmaster 17217 system?
http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/cgi-bin/flowmaster/17217.html
Does anyone have any experience with this system.
How loud is this system compared to Borla or Corsica.
C5 Sport Seat Parts27 Feb 2004 03:13 GMT1
Looking for track parts for C5 Sport seat, the drivers side seat has
movement front to back?
Aftermarket Seats for C426 Feb 2004 06:53 GMT2
Just bought my first 'Vette, an 88 blue coupe, 4+3 (waited 10 years, but
worth it - yea!) after a few mechanical repairs, everything runs great, but
the leather seats need to be recovered.  I would rather replace them with
3rd party seats, but my concern is size.  The seats are ...
