what causes the air door flapper to open to get fresh air to the carb? i
realize there is a syloniod bolted by the flapper but what activates the
silinoid? something in the gas pedal or carb linkage??

Hey, I love the fact the original am/fm is in my car, but let's be honest it

Just got a SpeedDemon 750  dp, mech secs...for my '70 BB. 4 speed.

I've got a '92 coupe that's my daily driver.
So far all I've done is replace the stock wheels with
Z06 wheels and replaced the mufflers with magnaflows.
I was thinking of doing one of the following:

Nope I don't recall ever hearing about a 383 HEMI.
Just the awesome 426 HEMI,and the 392 HEMI.392 HEMI'S were easier to find as
they were hidden in the old Windsor (circa 1950's) and were not sought out
as the 426 was.I'll let you know if I find out anything on swapping 392

I have a 1992 LT1 Automatic that is stock and seems to run fine most of the
time.  Having trouble  when I hammer the gas pedal on the highway doing
around 80mph or so.  It seems to hesitate and wont go any faster.  Makes a
noise like its hit redline or something and wont shift into ...

Just wondering how long they are lasting before needing replacement  ;
