| putting a C5 vette together | 22 Apr 2004 02:40 GMT | 17 |
I am a mid-level mechanic (self taught, though I am a medical student and it's amazing how similar the human body is to a car) and I have an opportunity to buy pieces of a C5 corvette here and there and put it together myself. I can also buy a '03 Z06 that is in perfect condition

OK, the dealer takes delivery of a C5 convertible in December. I call on it Friday and go up to deal with them today. Walk in and it has a Sold sign on it. Told the salesman that I hadn't agreed to buy it and his reply was, "Oh, it wasn't you, a lady bought it this morning".

I checked out my 1998 C5 at the local parts store using the OBD port., They have a reader ("Auto-X-Ray") and it reported all was fine. Last week I had the engine light come on a few times and "Reduced Power" was displayed. Anyway the reader gave me a "P1516-Commanded vs. Actual ...

| Question: Did all 95 Vettes has LT1s? | 19 Apr 2004 16:25 GMT | 5 |
I test drove a 95 Vette today and it didn't seem to have the typical Vette power. I asked the owner and they told me that it wasn't a LT1 engine. I thought the LT1 was the base motor. Am I wrong? It was a low miles car too. Thank you,
