putting a C5 vette together22 Apr 2004 02:40 GMT17
I am a mid-level mechanic (self taught, though I am a medical student and
it's amazing how similar the human body is to a car) and I have an
opportunity to buy pieces of a C5 corvette here and there and put it
together myself.  I can also buy a '03 Z06 that is in perfect condition

How much should I expect to pay for a 2004 coupe with
standard options and no HUD.  Sales Droid is claiming
he could get me in for 35K.

Heavy drive train vibration20 Apr 2004 15:26 GMT5
I have a 1980 corvette with an early 70's LT1-with full cam. I get a
very sharp vibration between 60-65mph felt through the entire car. Not
under or over that speed. It does not feel like a wheel balance issue,
it is a different vibration. Maybe more like a drive shaft? This is a
C5 gone20 Apr 2004 11:40 GMT7
OK, the dealer takes delivery of a C5 convertible in December. I call on it
Friday and go up to deal with them today. Walk in and it has a Sold sign on
it. Told the salesman that I hadn't agreed to buy it and his reply was, "Oh,
it wasn't you, a lady bought it this morning".

Fair price on 1987 coupe I want to buy?20 Apr 2004 07:47 GMT8
I posted about a month ago regarding a 1995 convertable with 30K that my
neighbor wants me to buy for $20,000.  You all said it was too much so I
have not bought it.  I looked at a 1987, yellow 4 speed yesterday, near
mint, 35,900 miles, that the guy wants $14,500 for, firm.  This ...
Engine codes (P1516) and buying a Hypertech or Predator programmer-1998 C5 6 Spd.19 Apr 2004 23:33 GMT4
I checked out my 1998 C5 at the local parts store using the OBD port., They
have a reader ("Auto-X-Ray") and it reported all was fine. Last week I had
the engine light come on a few times and "Reduced Power" was displayed.
Anyway the reader gave me a "P1516-Commanded vs. Actual ...

PARKING BRAKE HELP19 Apr 2004 19:55 GMT1

Question: Did all 95 Vettes has LT1s?19 Apr 2004 16:25 GMT5
I test drove a 95 Vette today and it didn't seem to have the typical Vette
power. I asked the owner and they told me that it wasn't a LT1 engine. I
thought the LT1 was the base motor. Am I wrong? It was a low miles car too.
Thank you,
First Vette19 Apr 2004 05:50 GMT21
Finally, Finally got my first Vette.  I acquired a 71 Coupe, 350/Auto.  We
knew going in that we would need to do work on it, which is half the fun.
There are a couple of things, I could use some clarity on.  First of all,
the seller swore that this was a numbers matching car.  But, ...
