Rubber vs eurethane11 Apr 2004 19:47 GMT6
I think it's time to replace some of the suspension bushings on my '75.
Sway bar bushings look old and cracked.  I read where a set of newly
installed poly. bushings was removed and replaced with rubber bushings
because the new ride characteristics didn't please the owner.  It could ...

1988 Headlight Panel Came Off11 Apr 2004 14:49 GMT1
The other night I went to roll my headlights over before shutting of the car
and the driver's side light seemed hung up...I got out to investigate and
found the 'flat' panel that is visible when the headlight is stowed had come
off and was keeping the headlight from rolling over.

What does it mean when both turn signal indicators along with the high beam
headlight indicator stay lit on the instrument panel?

A few questions about some problems10 Apr 2004 23:40 GMT10
I have a 1990 Corvette with the 350 and auto trans.
First a problem that has been a pain is at times the idle will stick.
Sometimes at 1300 rpms and others at over 2000 rpms. Going down the
road I don't even have to touch the gas to maintain 60 mph. I have
Couple of quick questions10 Apr 2004 21:12 GMT9
What years (not including '63) was the Z06 available?  Was an automatic
trans an option on these?

gapping plugs10 Apr 2004 16:26 GMT1
The new plugs are about .060 out of the box.
That's a lot to close to get .035, and the electrode
is angled...so it's only .035 at the closest point.
Has anyone come up with a gadget that will

The I-15 Follies, one more time09 Apr 2004 18:22 GMT18
I believe it was Wayne Johnson who first shared San Diego's penchant
for high speed tailgating on North County's I-15.  This adds a shaggy
verse to the story.  For Dave, this illustrates that it's really safer to
tailgate than to allow for a reasonable stopping distance.  TIC
Car Covers - Which one to buy?????09 Apr 2004 07:23 GMT3
I would like to purchase a cover for my ' 98 Vette, but have no idea what to
look for.  Although it is garaged at home, it sits out in the parking lot at
work.  I live in Dallas so the sun can be brutal during the summer.  Should
I plan on covering it all the time while at work - ...

oops, 10W-40 in my C4, comments?07 Apr 2004 14:51 GMT6
I bought my 1985 C4 two years ago and ran 10W-40 in it for several
thousand miles before noticing the bold print in the owner's handbook
warning NOT to use 10W-40. Did I do any damage?
Thanks,
If'n  ya don't like tire kickers,  how do you sell your car for a decent price?06 Apr 2004 06:29 GMT4
03 Z06,   KBB says $43K retail and only $38K to a dealer.  God,  I hate to
give it to a dealer.  But sitting home waiting for a tire kicker - ugh!  And
please,  don't say "e-bay".  I have yet to master that place.
