Pillar corrosion on 90 Coupe23 May 2004 16:56 GMT5
I noticed some corrosion/rust on the rear pillars (beneath the weatherstrip)
on my
Coupe.  While looking through Ecklers and some other magazines, I noticed an
option
Electric fan23 May 2004 14:45 GMT8
Do you think i would benefit from an electric fan installed directly on the
Radiator in my 76 We all know the Radiator is installed at an angle and i
dont think the stock fan pulls enough air through the bottom of the Radiator
Just a thought ...any ideas on a good fan also..anyone ...
1988 corvette will not start (crank) when hot23 May 2004 14:17 GMT1
I have read several postings on this subject and found many ideas.
However, the originator never says what the final solution is.
The car sometimes does not start after driving it.  It does not crank.
It eventually does start.  Shortest time about 5 minutes longest about
CA emmisions23 May 2004 00:59 GMT1
Do people in California have to have special emissions installed on their
vehicles (with the extra cost) or are emission controls the same throughout
the US?

best way to flush brake system21 May 2004 18:40 GMT10
Anyone care to respond?
I'm putting on the new brakes and using the old tubing 'cause it is still
good.  How to flush the old tubing is the question of the day?  Apparently a
mix of old fluid and new is not the best way to go...so...flush.

76...no nutten..when turning the key...!20 May 2004 13:09 GMT18
Went out just a few minutes ago to pull my 76 out of the

engine turned over normally but did not fire up within 3-4 seconds...
which is normal ...turned off the key ...and immediately tried to
Looking at 94 C420 May 2004 05:44 GMT6
Dealership wants $17K and change for this coup with targa/glass top and I
think the 300hp 5.7 litre.  Seems high based on KBB and others I've talked
to who have vette's of this vintage.  Car looks great outside with a few
small stone marks on nose and hood -  and faded door pulls - ...
C4 Diagnostic codes20 May 2004 02:31 GMT1
I seem to remember reading ages ago that you can get at least some
diagnostic readouts on the either the temperature control or the radio
stack. Anyone remember how to activate the mode and is there anywhere anyone
knows of that lists what the codes read?
Technical Question19 May 2004 19:10 GMT10

Do I increase or decrease the setting by the correction factor?
Thanks, guys.  I can't find the book that came with the wrench...
Progress Notes - Update19 May 2004 16:14 GMT29
The trailing arm is out!  The pivot bolt was no problem at all.
Everything came right apart.  I'm dropping it at a shop tomorrow.  I
found a local shop that's going to replace the bearings, shims, seals,
etc. for $170.  Hopefully I'll be able to put it all back together
Oil temp readings, 199319 May 2004 14:25 GMT3
The analog oil temp gauge on my '93 reads lower than the digital readout
when I step through the various functions by pressing the gauges button on
the dash.  The difference is 50 degrees or more.  The digital readout says
the oil temp in a little over 200 after running awhile, but ...
