I am new to vettes but not to restoring vehicles. this will be the third car
I hopefully will succeed in doing in the past 10 years.
Anyway a few questions about a 78 L48, I don't have any books yet.
is the front clip, fenders etc. bonded, I do not see any bolts attaching it,

Background:
I've been having some coolant loss issues, and the burnoff smell associated
with it. I also just bought a radar detector a couple days ago and wanted to
wire that in and not use the cigarette lighter (didn't work anyways). Well,

       Trying to start car after sitting for a few days it will not start
after repeated try`s, pushing  the accelerator pedal halfway a couple of
times  and short ignition key turns and it sounds like it wants to start but
then I get the smell of too much gas , but then after ...

Thank you to all who have assisted me in the rear suspension changeout on my
75 coupe.
I have had a surprize presented to me that I didn't expect and don't know if
it's supposed to be this way or not.

It's time to replace the thermostat, flush the system and put in
new coolant.  (My main concern is water pump longevity).
Anyone known if the 'newer' antifreeze (Texaco & GM--the reddish
stuff) is compatible with '89 C4 (L98 + aluminum heads) or if it's

Family and friends are apparently driven to buy me
stuff that says "corvette" on it.  I have shirts,
hats, key chains, wall hangings, mugs, and so on.

When i got home i ran the windows up with the engine running, and noticed
they were slow to move
next day the battery appeared dead when i tried to start the car
charged the battery and it starts up fine,  noted that the voltage on the

I have recently purchased a C5 corvette and the horn relay works, the
horn worked for about five minutes and after driving in the rain.
Where can I find the horn on the car to take it off and fix it???

[From the "if anybody gives a crap" department]
Spring off.  Strut Rod off.  Shock off.  Brake & Emergency Brake lines
off.  The bolts connecting the half to the spindle are breaking my shoes
mercilessly.  The caliper bolts aren't playing nice either.  Off to
