I am going to try to rebuild my Edelbrock Performer carb on my 76 this weekend. Any quick suggesions on how to make it easier? I have the rebuild kit fron Edelbrock, some carb cleaner and plan to document the whole process.

Last night I changed the plugs on my C3. This morning I am on my back under the car staring at the plug wires and thinking "oh no." It looks like the front 4 are protected behind a heat shield. To make things worse, it looks like the starter needs to come off to get the shield

Yep!! There it was at the bottom of the differential case...the ever suspicious retainer ring it is torked like it has some serious pressure applied to it and then there is just a bit of a gouge to the face of it. My guess is someone hit a big something in the road, bent the strut. ...
