Corvette or BMW Z4??22 Jul 2004 09:06 GMT11
The dealers here are really dealing on Z4's and Corvette's.
Corvette's are 9,000+ off list. Drove really nice during its test drive
today
Z4 has a dealer incentive of 3500 plus 1.9% financing. It drove really nice
Transmission - shifting to reverse22 Jul 2004 08:20 GMT6
Shifting into drive is no problem and car seems to want to take off right
away,  but
when shifting into reverse, it takes a while (about 2-3 seconds) before
moving, is this

Did I read this right ?
Gordon Brown plans to make a 134p (no pound symbol on my US keyboard) per
mile surcharge, for drivers - introduced over the next 10-15 years ?
I guess at 12,000 miles per year I'd have to pay $30,000 - I'm guessing

C5 Stereo21 Jul 2004 01:54 GMT2
I recently bought a new 2004 C5.  After driving the car for about a month, I
decided I wanted to change the radio (it has a cassette player in the dash
unit and the 12-disc player in the back).  I called the dealership and was
told that I couldn't change the unit that was installed. ...
1998 tire sensors.20 Jul 2004 23:03 GMT6
Today I put 2004 pressure sensors in my rims that I was running on the 98
that I had so I could put the rims on my 2004.
I now have a set of 4 Corvette pressure sensors GM number 10438853 that I no
longer need. They all work but they are the original 1998 sensors.
What is the proper engine temp for a c5 on a warm day . mine is like 235 deg. 20 Jul 2004 22:17 GMT9

I have never really paid much attention to it . But all of sudden it
just seems funny ? I think it was that high before i would have
Steering Column Questions:  198020 Jul 2004 19:31 GMT1
I just bought a 1980 Vette.  Two questions:
   1.    The steering wheel center cap/horn assembly is not all there.
Does anyone have a good exploded view of the assembly/a hand drawn picture
so I can get the parts and assemble it so that the horn works?  I have a
Think it got any Corvettes??20 Jul 2004 17:45 GMT2
Washington DC (dirty crooks), collected $2,300,000 in photo enforcement
finds for the month of April setting a record of revenue enhancement.
Will this slow up the tourist trade this year??  It should.

Does the tire pressure system work with Z06 tires?20 Jul 2004 15:03 GMT1
I'm thinking about putting the one inch wider Z06 wheels on, and possibly
even going up an inch in wheel diameter over my stock 04 Coupe run flats.
But I do like the tire pressure information.
Anybody know if the stock pressure monitors will work if I go up an inch in
Poly VS Rubber Bushings in a 78?20 Jul 2004 13:50 GMT2
OK, I am going to replace all Suspension bushings in my 78 and want to know
the pros and cons of Rubber VS Poly. I am not sure I want to end up with a
car with a much harsher ride, just want a pleasure cruiser and not a race
car.
Timing Chain Replacement. Gear or Chain ?20 Jul 2004 05:14 GMT3
Well here I go and have some fun!   What would you do if you can opt for a
gear drive or chain drive for a 1990 Corvette.   First I can hear engine
knocks so the knock sensor could be adjusted for gear vibration second I
tend to run higher octane fuels anyway's. The thought of ...
Suspension20 Jul 2004 04:45 GMT2
I got an 87'vette convertible and i would describe the suspension as
loose. I was thinking of changing the bushings from the stock rubber
to polyurithane. How hard is this to do myself. What other suspension
upgrades are good. shocks?Swaybars? etc...
I have this '74 Coupe in my garage....20 Jul 2004 03:56 GMT9
So I have this car in my garage, which I have had for 5 1/2 years. When I
first got it I did a few minor things to it. Many days, over the past few
years, I go out in the garage to get something and I see that '74 Coupe
sitting there and say why dont I sell that car.. Then every ...
