I HAD BOUGHT RACING SEATS FROM EVOBREED WITH UNIVERSAL SLIDERS ON THEM. THE SLIDERS ARE TOO WIDE TO FIT IN MY '86 CORVETTE. UNFORTUNATELY "UNIVERSAL" DOES NOT MEAN WHAT I THOUGHT IT DID . MY QUESTION IS DOES ANYONE HERE KNOW OF AN ADAPTOR TO MAKE THESE UNIVERSAL

| Changing a Suspension | 16 Jul 2004 19:01 GMT | 4 |
I got a terrific deal (in my opinion) on my 04 Black Coupe, but it came with the soft ride suspension. I was wringing it out through the twisties (but still under 55, and not WOT) this evening, and concluded that I would prefer a stiffer suspension,

| Handling, flexing, rattles? - Vette targa verses convertible | 16 Jul 2004 14:54 GMT | 7 |
Sorry, just another Vette targa verses convertible question. Now I am wondering about the suspension, handling, body flexing etc of one verses the other. On some cars, traditionally, the convertible versions flex a lot more, rattle more, are noisier in general, etc. Are heavier ...

| Corvette "targa" tops verses Corvette convertibles, wind noise, etc...? | 16 Jul 2004 13:50 GMT | 5 |
Howdy, I 've been driving a Mustang GT convertible lately (first convertible I ever drove). I find that at say 45 mph or so (top down), wind buffeting and wind noise is very tolerable and not a problem. I am liking this convertible and

I'm kind of new at this, but I'm really looking to buy a 1968-1972 Corvette. The one I'm currently looking at is at a dealership. It's a '72. The dealer is trying to tell me the 98k are original miles. I'm pretty sure he's wrong. I know that the last six digits of the

| C6 on a Lift | 16 Jul 2004 00:38 GMT | 19 |
Here are some pictures of a C6 from the Milford Proving Grounds. http://www.ncrs.org/southwest/7_10c6preview.htm And yes, it is C6, not C5.5. Generations are determined by compatibility and interchangeability of parts, and essential 85% of the C6 is different

| Gasoline Quality | 15 Jul 2004 20:48 GMT | 21 |
A few days ago someone posted a question about which gas was best to burn in their vette. Octane ratings were the major concern for those who responded to the post. I mentioned some inside info about purity that was told to me, by my brother who has worked for Exxon/Mobil for 20+ ...

| Common wisdom on car washes? | 15 Jul 2004 15:58 GMT | 16 |
The Viper rear tires were too large to get into a regular car wash. I now have a black 04 C5. What are the opinions here about using automated car washes? Thanks,

| 50th Anniversary? | 15 Jul 2004 01:50 GMT | 5 |
Just out of curiosity, what do you guys think a 50th anniversary coupe with an automatic would go for? We are toying with the idea of selling my wife's Infinity QX4 and getting her the above. Any opinions? Flames? Information? Prices? I guess it would be fun to drive down to ...

Ric, I seem to recall in the recent refurbishing of your Corvette you mentioned you "re-dyed" the fenderwells? How did you do that, and what product(s) did you use?
