M-22 Transmission question....11 Mar 2005 16:01 GMT11
I have a 66 Stingray with 327/350 engine and manual transmission.  I drive
it every other week.  When I start up, its hard to get it in gears  and
without a little grinding.  When it warms up with a some driving, all is
fine.  I think tranny was rebuilt 12 years / 5000 miles ago. ...

over in the convertor, got into some tire shake, transmission fluid
temperature went way up, and the synthetic fluid smells more than a
little burnt, it was fresh fluid,  so it is fried.

04 vs. 05 vette06 Mar 2005 23:21 GMT2
I'm thinking in a year or 2 purchasing a used '05 or '04 vette and
wonder which is a better choice?  I'm not considering at this time
mileage or cost but improvements, safety and reliability.
Also, just curious, anyone know what a new or used vette is estimated

There is a red '71 by me for sale and I'd like to know if it is worth

years ago that was a decent driver that I bought and sold for $6500.  ...
